To my understanding, you can add this package to an existing SS.

You can add pieces of the package to an SS. New transmission and gearing would be very expensive. The wheels and tires alone cost about the same as what the 1LE package costs on a new SS. I think it would be cheaper to trade.

The suspension parts can all be added fairly cheap. Even the rear gears from GM are supposed to be relatively cheap compared to current offerings from the aftermarket. It's transmission wheels and tires that are the reason they say almost. Those parts would be very expensive although not impossible. At that point, it would probably be more cost effective to trade for a new 1LE

If it's in good condition I wouldn't sell it to anyone. Those are very nice cars.

what happened to the corvette fender stripes, those look really nice and add a touch of "TOUGH" to it's looks.

They were cut out due to the cost of putting a complex stripe package on a mass produced car. They're already available aftermarket and I'm sure a lot of people will add them.

even though I'm not a fan of racing stripes and/or stickers on cars (so 1980/90's) Some of these new 5's look incredible with them. Speaking of white above.....SSSSOOOOO what I'm going to order! :P
