Philthy... vendors so far include our food vendor, ice cream and nut guy from last year; Inline Tube, Haggerty Insurance rep; Automotive Halo Kits LLC, Lingenfelter Motorsports, Livernois Motorsports, Freeman's Camaro Parts and a few selling misc parts.

I don't know if it is the dates (which we are not changing) or because we are an ALL Camaro event... we have always struggled to get BIG name vendors. And we HAVE tried!!

TO Hurst... not to worry about being a novice!! Just come out and have a great time. At CAMARO SUPERFEST we do NOT do any racing, it is primalrily a show & shine event with extra activities - like our Friday line-up of laps on a local road course and tour of the COPO Build Center!! Then Saturday is a cruise/dinner at the Lingenfelter Collection! Please feel free to email me any questions and I'll be happy to answer!

LATEST NEWS
Hello once again!!
YES, it's only been a week since our last update, but we want to keep you up-to-date on all that our event is about!

REGISTRATION NEWS - Have you checked out the numbers? 183 registered!! That's great! Last week we had 17 new registrations! That's 2.4 per day! I hope we can keep up that rate until we close pre-registration!

PLEASE NOTE - if you have pre-registered on or before Friday, June 7th, then you should have your acceptance letter in your email in-box!! If it is not there, please check your junk-trash files. Sometimes, my email goes there. There were only 7-9 registrations that did not provide an email address. If you are one of those, your letter will be in the mail back to you tomorrow! If you have not received your acceptance letter by June 29th - please email me asap! barry76Lt@wowway.com

We have also noticed in the registration numbers, we are missing several years! 1970, 72, 73, 74, 75, (what is it with the 70's??) 83 and 90. We like to be able to say that at our event, we had at least one from every year. So here's a shout-out to all of those years to get registered, even if it's AT the show!

Lastly, pre-registration via the website will be ending on Friday, June 29!! Our mail-in deadline is still Thursday, June 20. You CAN register at the event, but the Friday and Saturday night activities will not be available at that time.
Hope to see you soon!!
Barry Hensel, CSF Chairman

LATEST NEWS - June 16, 2013
WOW... we've done it again... probably 3-4 years in a row (or more) that we've hit over 200 pre-registered for CAMARO SUPERFEST! Our official number stands at 208!!
We're still missing those early 70's years... but we're hopeful they will register in the next 2 weeks, or simply show-up at the show!
Remember - pre-registration online and by mail ends Friday, June 28!!
Our Friday and Saturday activities are getting filled up, but there is still some room left, but sign-up NOW and if you have already registered and wish to add these to your registration - email me NOW!! (barry76Lt@wowway.com)
We've heard from Chevrolet and we will have at least 2 2014 Camaros on display at the show on Saturday. COOL!!
The goodie bag and door prize pile in my garage has grown! We've also received many great items for the Silent Auctions!! Remember... all this great stuff is for charity support - the LUPUS Foundation of America!
That's about it for this week... please keep the registrations coming in and keep those prayers for good weather going!
THANKS!
Barry Hensel
CSF Chairman

WOW... another update in just one day!!
Well... here's the big news... we had our monthly EMCC club meeting last night and everyone voted on a NEW dash plaque - it will be magnet style! YES, as in refrigerator magnet! This is a new trend that we are jumping on, as now your dash plaque can be on your fridge, tool box, where-ever!! (and not leave a tape residue!) They will look the same, just be more "flexible" in where and how you can use it. We hope you like this new addition!
And just how will that dash plaque look... well, here is the 99.9% final artwork for our t-shirts, which is also the basis for our awards and dash plaques...
Name: CSF13_t-shirtfront_REV.jpg
Views: 300
Size: 85.2 KB

As mentioned, yes, the t-shirts will be red in color!
We also have purchased a special buy for Camaro owners... SolarBat Camaro branded sun glasses! These normally retail for $49, but we have them for $25 at the show! Check out these images...
Name: CamaroSunglasses.jpg
Views: 299
Size: 74.4 KB
And did we mention... (pretty sure Barry has...) this year at CSF, we'll be all set to accept your major credit card at event HQ for your purchases of event t-shirts, CSF hats and sun glasses. We'll also accept credit card payment for our Silent Auctions for charity (but for this, we will charge a small fee as we want ALL monies to go to the charity).
Cool stuff and we're only THREE WEEKS AWAY!!!!

And a quick shout-out to the Michigan Firebird Club for being our judges again for the 5th year in a row! THANKS guys and gals for supporting our event!!!

Great news from Chevrolet concerning our COPO Build Center Tour... we got food! While it's not gourmet, what could be more appropriate than Hot Dogs with a Chevrolet (add your own baseball and apple pie)!! The Build Center Team will be serving some dogs and refreshments, and a Chevrolet Performance Camaro show car will also be on hand while we wait for each group to tour the facility. We will be broken into groups for the tour to better manage our crowd when we arrive. THUS, the previous notes in your acceptance letter about packing a lunch, are no longer necessary (unless you really want to). You can still buy from the Waterford Track concessions, or wait until we arrive at the Build Center. We can also confirm that Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser, and one of the main guys behind the design of the 5th Gen Camaro, Tom Peters, will both be at the COPO Build Center for talks with our group.
THANK-YOU Chevrolet Performance!!!
Let us also remind those attending Friday's activities at Camaro Superfest 2013...
you MUST HAVE photocopies of your drivers license and proof of insurance in order to get on the track!! No copies - NO TRACK laps!! There is no copy machine for use onsite. We're told the pit row area is quite a bit smaller then MIS... so we'll have to do some "winging it" when we arrive and in getting everyone lined up for laps. Please be patient with us, it's our first time too! Thanks!! We'll see you in a short 2 weeks!!

Here's the latest CSF update from our chairman, Barry (emcc-barry)...
_______________

ATTENTION! Pre-registration is now closed. The Friday and Saturday evening activities have also been closed. These will NOT be available "at the door". You are still very welcome to bring your Camaro on Saturday and Sunday at Riverside Park!! And we hope you do!! See you soon!!

LATEST NEWS
Yippie!! We did it! We have 268 pre-registered for Camaro Superfest 2013!! That beats last years pre-registration!! THANK-YOU to all that registered!!
Of course, just because pre-registration is closed, YOU can STILL register your Camaro and be in the show on Saturday and Sunday!! Just show up and you're IN!
We're sorry to say that the Friday tours and Saturday evening dinner/cruise have been filled and are closed. We have to turn in attendance numbers and order food ahead of time, so tickets could not be possible at the event.

Well... we are DAYS away!! All of the EMCC membership is excited to be your hosts and give you the best event we can! Please have a safe trip to the event and we'll see you soon!!

Had an absolute blast out at Waterford Hills and the COPO Build Center today!

Here's the pictures that my wife took with our camera --

And a video going around Waterford -- admittedly, it looks pretty boring and tame on YouTube though:

Meissen (and Mrs. Meissen)
Thanks for they great video. It gives a good look at the track. You even caught a glimpse of me starting out in the next group. I was able to push it a little and it was great fun.
Great pics at the COPO build center. Those babies are really built with care!
As always, these Camaro fans are great.

Greetings All! A Note from our CSF Chairman (emcc-barry)…
_______________________________________

CAMARO SUPERFEST 2013 is in the history books!! THANK-YOU to all that attended!! You all have helped us increase our attendance for another year. While up slightly, we were UP for 2013... 270 pre-registered, 430 total registrations, 400 Camaros actually attending at some point during the 3 day event!! THANKS!!

Our next biggest goal for the weekend was to make sure everyone had fun and a great time. It seems we have succeeded again on that level as the comments on the survey sheets and in forums like this, all say we did well!! Thanks for all the kind comments and even any critiques you have given us. We always strive to make each year better than the last. We did do that on many aspects, but also had our concerns. Sorry about the PA system... already working on fixing that for next year!

Our other major goal for our event - giving to our charity! The Lupus Foundation of America was our chosen charity for this years’ event. With our silent auctions, 50-50, 100% donation spectator gate, extra money from the Lingenfelter evening and our "LIVE" auction items during awards... we MET our goal!! Again, something to say we increased from last year, The Lupus Foundation will be receiving $5,000 from our event... and thus from YOU!! BIG HUGE THANKS to all who donated in any way, including by just being at the event!! We're working on a date for the check presentation and will post pictures of that when it happens later this month.

Like at the awards, we must give out another round of THANK-YOU's to all of our sponsors who supported us again and help make the event possible and for a very reasonable cost to you, the participants.
DIAMOND sponsor - Bill Crispin Chevrolet
GOLD sponsor - CWR - Canton Waste Recycling
SILVER sponsor - Lingenfelter Motorsports & Collection
BRONZE sponsors - National Parts Depot, Ecklers-Ricks Camaro Parts, Livernois Motorsports, The Bicycle Doctor, Cruis’News magazine

Please THANK these great businesses with YOUR business whenever possible. And please give them a ‘THANKS’ for supporting our event!
We also need to send a huge THANK-YOU to Chevrolet and the COPO Build Center for a great Friday activity!! It was glorious!!
And a Thank-you to the Michigan Firebird Club for being our great judges for another year. Great job guys and gals!!
And let me add a personal THANK-YOU to all of my fellow EMCC members!!! These guys and gals worked long and hard for all of our participants! Without their support, encouragement and work, this event would not be possible!

Lastly...once again, THANK-YOU for attending and supporting our event!! We hope you will all return in 2014 for our 23rd annual event. Our projected dates are Friday-Sunday, July 4-5-6, 2014. Please try to spend a holiday with your great Camaro family and friends!

Thanks again... see you around town....
Barry Hensel
CSF Chairman
