HYPERTECH MAXENERGY tune worth it?

The only mod I may apply to my camaro is a tune.
I would like to know if hypertech could give good gains in hp.
One thing I consider is that I will only use regular fuel (87 octanes).
and will disable the AFM,
no torque management mods.
I don't want to know wich tune is better, I just want to hear from hypertech owners

tks.

Got the same car and color as you ,I did have the the hyper tech I installed, yes it did make a ton of difference ,my car had flow masters on it when I bought it.that afm blurbing wast errible.that alone was worth the money getting rid of that..but then a couple months later a speedshop owner friend gave me a deal on a complete stainless works exhaust system , long tubes ,high flow cats, three inch pipes, with chambered mufflers . And included a new Dyno tune. So I unmarried the hyper tech before the tune. But I can tell you the hyper tech made lots of difference in mine. Idles smoother, more power ,no blubber. And I could sell you mine for 200. If you like.

the hypertech tune is great...I actually beta tested on it. Its great for a stock car with maybe an air intake and a catback. It also does gear adjustment now (I think). If you go further...such as headers etc...you probably should go a different route.
But just an fyi...I picked up like .3-.4 at the dragstrip with it. That's not all hp...also tranny tune and driveability. This was on my first camaro...the silver one.

why only 87 octane? the SS pretty much demands 93,unless you have no other option you should be using 93. (disregard this if the fuel ratings in your country are different and your 87= our 93)
the car will cut power with regular fuel and i dunno how much good a tune will do you while running regular fuel.

the hypertech will do everything you asked. TM can stay left alone or reduced. There is a 87 and a 91 tune both you can choose in the menus. afm can disabled as well.
