I'm cleaning the car Monday afternoon after returning from the fest. I start getting really sweaty and Chest Pain and feel Faint. :( YEP I'm thinking heart Attack #2. So off we go to the Hospital. I stick a Nitro under the tounge on the way. Well of course I get to the Hospital and Now I'm not as sweaty and I'm starting to feel better ;( Well they run the Blood work and all comes Back OK and then the chest Xray to see if I have a Collasped Lung. Again Nothing :( So the Doctor says being you have History we are keeping you Over Night for Observation :( GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR And OF course every 4 hours Some vampire comes and pokes me for Blood. NO SLEEP < 7:30 am off for another Chest XRAY. Then 9:30am off for a stress Test. <<<< A chemicaly Induced Stress test WOW is that a rush :( felt like a Bad Acid Trip from the 60"s << Anyways buy 5:00PM DAY TWO i'M TOLD YOU CAN GO HOME? < What a welcome home that was <<< The Moral of the Story let your car remain dirty after C5FEST LOL

Wow, sounds like quite a ride...I'm glad it turned out to be nothing serious! The Camaro can definitely wait to be washed.

I hope you're resting up and feeling better. Do they know what caused it?

I'm glad to read you are okay

It's been hot here. I was washing the Camaro at dawn on Sunday and still had to take breaks.
Did it cool off for you today like it did here?

You're going to have to find a boy you can show how to wash your car and take it easy old man
I would suggest a co-ed but not with your condition

Be careful & take care of yourself. I'm glad you went in to get checked out & that nothing serious was found. I had to dial back my activities at the Fest as I was on the verge of heat exhaustion several times. I just took needed precautions & I still managed to have fun. Everyone please be careful out in the heat. And do take your body's signals seriously.

If that's the case, I want no part of that afterlife

On a more serious note, I am glad to hear you're ok, OP and that it was nothing serious.

Oh yea, I know all about them anxiety attacks! They suck!! They are scary because if you didn't know the difference between it and a heart attack, you would be thinking you are having a heart attack. Some are accompanied with minor chest pains but go away after a couple of minutes. When I had my first severe panic attack that's what I thought was happening to me. I was sweating profusely, short of breath and having a pain in the middle of my back. I went out to call the wife to make a doctors appointment for me, ( never had been to a doctor prior to that) was kneeling down near my work van talking to her and when I got up to go back to the building, I felt like I was going to black out but then it passed and all I had was a rapid heart beat. When the ambulance came and gave me a EKG, they said it looked fine but something had my heart going. After a night in the hospital, no one ever told me what it was or what it wasn't. I was told to go see a head doctor. Since then I've been on HBP medication and Paxil and occasionally take xanax if I start to feel little anxiety attacks coming on. Now thinking back on it, I often wonder if was a small blood clot that passed when I stood up and started walking instead of a panic attack. Sorry for the long story I just want everyone to listen to your body and if something doesn't feel right, please don't ignore it.

Thanks for sharing.

I almost went the ambulance route myself. These days I've got constant health anxiety...its been three years and every second of every day is hell. I've had the EKG as well, and also had a ECG and multiple blood tests. Seen a cardiologist who said I'm fine, my doc says I'm fine. But I feel FAR from it. Tried Zoloft and had a nasty reaction so switched to Lexapro...wound up getting off it for awhile but now I'm back on it again. It just sucks hard core and unless you've been through it, you really don't know.

Anyway I hope things keep improving for you!

Dudes, we should really have a thread somewhere to do with this because this is me too. Feel anxious, pain in center of back, dizzy sometimes.
I take wellbutrin now, but I still get this feelings very ofter.
I still feel like there is something wrong with me, but doctors say looks ok?
My head feels blood pressury sometimes, but I check my blood pressure and its good (also on blood pressure meds).

Glad you're okay

After injuring my back, I've learned to take it easy when cleaning my Camaro... plan for entire day with plenty of breaks and stay hydrated.
I use a creeper seat and power tools when possible.

I feel your pain man. I wouldn't mind having a thread somewhere for things like this. It's not car related at all, but maybe we could have one in off-topic somewhere that the mods wouldn't mind.

Always nice to know you aren't alone in the fight, you know?

Seriously, wtf is with them poking you every damn few hours. I swear, you need the most sleep/rest in a hospital but you get the WORST rest there. WTFFF makes no sense to me.
