The farce is strong with this one....

They have this stuff called "wax" that you can put on the surface to protect it from rain. The bigger threat to your paint is ultra-violet radiation from exposure to sunlight; that can and will fade your paint. Either get a wax/polish with anti-uv qualities or put on an anti-uv product like 303

which can help not only the paint but the interior (especially the area above the dash) too. Red is notorious for fading in sunlight so definitely look at some kind of anti-uv treatment if you have to leave your car outside like that.
