Opinions on EFI LIVE VS HP TUNERS

I have the EFI Autocal that i use on my Duramax.

I'm ready to get the CAI and Exhaust mods real soon and possibly blower or NOS in the near future for the Camaro.

I see lots of posts on the HP tuners platform and not so much on the EFI.

Can someone steer me to the tuners of EFI and HP Tuners so i can compare?

I cant seem to find too much support on the EFI.
The efi REALLY woke up my 2009 Duramax LBZ.
thanks.

In the end, they perform the same functions. If you like EFIlive's interface, which I hate, stick with that. EFILive seems to have a big diesel following and HPT has a big gas motor following....

Doesn't really matter in the end, just depends on which one you know how to use.

Haven't looked at EFI, as I only use HPTuners for my dually and my camaro. What I can say about HPTuners is the support is fantastic, both on the forums, and from the company itself.

Both EFI and HP have a steep learning curve, but HP offers 24/7 support to its customers, and the community is EXTREMELY active. Just check out hptuners.com and there's so much info for the LS3 and L99 engines.

For what it's worth - Vengeance Racing's tuner uses EFI Live. Why - I couldn't tell you but I'm sure he can. All I know is my tuned cam/bolt-on LS3 has run great for the last 4k miles. Everyone he has tuned for - speaks highly of the results. Again how much of that is him vs EFI I can't tell you other than he has chosen EFI as his preferred tuning software.

Basicly it boils down to user preferance. I like HPTuners and has worked very for me in all aspects. It is easy to to understand and navigate as well. I have some experience with EFI Live and it works well also, just harder to navigate thru. In the end you will get the same results with either brand. Its up to the user to use it properly.

EFI VS HP Tuners

The tuner i use for my Dmax is exclusive with the EFI platform.

What i like about this is he knows the Engine/Trans and has pre built tunes for just about every bolt on and power adder you can do and can send them via e-mail and any tweaks you want too.

As i understand it, HP Tuners is well liked by gassers.
Do the tuners offer this kind of service? I've yet to find a tuner in my area and not quite ready to jump in and do it myself.

i realize that it's best to go to a tuner and get a tune/dyno run, but i'm at least 2-4 hours away from this service that i know of.
