I was honored and fortunate enough again to be welcomed to a Chevrolet Media Drive Event. This time we were invited to thrash the 1LE Camaros around Gingerman Raceway.
Below is a copy of my impressions. Better late than never, right? ![]() Quote:

Awesome write up!!
I love hearing about the "extra torque" you feel from the trans/3.91's. I can't wait to order mine. I'm ordering the same one described in the write up.... Vic Red, 1SS/1LE, & NPP exhaust.... that's it!

I would think driving on a rural 2 lane and wanting to pass someone would be a piece of cake. The power available in 3 rd and especially 4 th should be awesome.

Let's see hi res shots of all the 1LE's, especially the white ones...please.
As far as the review, I couldn't help but salivate. Now this is my kind of car. A stiff ride is good...right?

Now let Randy Pobst drive this car. In fact, compare the 2013 1LE to the 2013 Boss LS.

![]() Mr. Wyndham is without a doubt a very accomplished writer that is able to convey the story which enthusiasts here on this forum can relate to and put his reader there with him when he is behind the wheel. I have to say that this article was very well written, but the one he did for the ZL1 was much more in-depth and probably inspired many, many people to get there beloved ZL1. I for one had wanted one(and still do), but am going to purchase a 1LE as a starting point. Congrats on your decision in getting the 1LE

Wow! Great read! I'm glad to hear how fun this car is to drive on the track on how it's a bigger step up from the SS than most were expecting. I've been saying since the concept was announced that the 1LE would have no problems hanging with a Boss LS and after reading this it may just win all of the magazine comparisons. I too love the rugged look of the non RS but I think I will end up with the halos. I'm not at all worried about the stiff ride on the street, I've been driving a V-6 fourth gen for the past 9 years. Thanks for illustrating how much of a joy it will be to own a 1LE. I can't wait!

Great write up. Now what happens to this car when the mods begin ( cai, headers, cam, etc, etc)?
