MY NEED FOR SPEED IS BACK!

So I havent posted in a while because I purchased a new house on 12/30/2011 and after purchasing my house I realized that a 2011 2SS/RS M6 black camaro (only vehicle) wasnt the most practical vehicle for a new home owner. I proceeded to trade it in on a 2012 LTZ silverado (white/tan interior) and use it for all the normal things around the house. Well, my need for speed has returned and I have four options. Please chime in with the best option in your opinion.

A. Buy a CRT ZL1 from my local dealer for 1k over MSRP ($61,444.00). (kills me to do this but they have CRT and thats the only color I want). They wont trade it to the dealer I always deal with.

B. Buy a white, black or VR ZL1 for MSRP. (Not an option in my book).

c. Buy a 2013 Grand Sport 3LT w/Nav M6 in CRT or Cyber gray for GMS pricing $58,013 (whole family works for GM). MSRP is 67k

D. Buy a 2010 SS camaro thats on my lot (yes im in the car biz) that has 70k on it (SIM w/black stripes 2SS M6 w/RS package) and do ARH headers w/cats, cam, tvs 2300, adm race intake 3" magnaflow and eibach springs. Car has no damage, good car fax and no grinding 1st-2nd issues like my 2011 had. (can buy it for $21,000)

Please vote A, B, C OR D

I appreciate the help. Im really open to 3 of the 4. Not feeling the other color options on the ZL1. Gonna spend 60k on a camaro, have to get the one I want.

Thanks,
DH

A. OR C.

I like the grand sport but it has no back seat. I have see this come up alot depending on what is important it is not a simple choice in my eyes. The ZL1 is hands down more practial than a grand sport but the top does not come off, it gets worse milage,

option B. is not an option to me because picking a color you don't want needs to say you more than 1k.

option D I did not pic just because there are to many variable with a car like that IMO. It is the best from a cost to get into vehicle standpoint.

why not try to order one a supplier? it is not huge savings though mine was 56,204 @supplier -$500 cash cash back.

@HOGNUTZ, 5K is a huge savings to me. No dealer around DFW will do below MSRP.

Do your best talk dealer down!! I bet they go for it when they see how serious you are!! Tell them $500 under MSRP and work your way up!! Is the love it or return it program still going?? That's $500 off right there if it is!!

I would call around and work the courtesy delivery angle. I ordered my from Russell in arkansas and it got delivered to Lassen in albany, or.

they charged me $250 for PDI and full take of gas.

Get what you want, but it sounds like option A is it regardless of the other choices since they proceed choice A. The problem is the dealership knows that a ZL1 in stock is worth more to a buyer than one they have to order. I vote for trying to get them to sell at MSRP or less......worst case $500 over if they won't budge since its the color you want. Yes, the whole buying process stinks no matter how you look at it. I paid MSRP for mine and I ordered it. I was the only one who was willing to put a deposit down and order the car without seeing it first so I got their first allocation.

You should be able to find one you want at MSRP. Get on the phone and get to work!

So I went by my dealer that has the three ZLs in stock in black, white and victory red last night that all have an MSRP of about 57,800 and oddly enough the victory red is starting to look pretty good to me. The CRT at the other dealer has an MSRP of $60,444 b/c of little BS options that I wouldnt even want. Leaning towards purchasing a different color next tuesday. Just giving myself time to think instead of just impulse buying. LOL.

***all are M6***

Black: carbon hood insert, no roof, with suede package, black wheels (dont care for the black wheels)

White: no carbon insert, sunroof, no suede package, and really cool powdercoated wheels they just had done.

VR: carbon insert, no roof, no suede package, polished wheels.

Im slowly getting excited about owning one of these bad boys.

C, neighbor has an orange GS with a 2.3 Maggie intake, injectors, tune running 8lbs. Absolutely destroys my V, dead even with my Shelby and I got over 700 RWHP and the car handles like a dream. Only thing I got to stay with h is my 800HP 03 Cobra as Long as the roads straight. As cool as the Z is a dry sump LS3 GS is the way to go. Save 7-8K (Blower & supporting mods) over winter and u got a ZR1 killer for half the price.

Get the color you want but don't buy it from the thieving dealer who wants more than MSRP. Thats just pure greed.

Test Drive the Victory Red over to the dealer with the CRT and tell them they have a choice, be fair and sell it at a price you agree to or you'll be buying the red one from the other dealer.
