Don't know for sure but I got a strange 3:73 heavy duty center section and have never been asked about "c clips".

C Clips

Talked with Diet Coke today he says rule does not apply since the axel is bolted in with the large nut on end at the rotor mounting assm.

The c clip issue pertains to the axles not being physically located only by C clips. Obviously this could create an issue if the c clip failed, in the case of a solid axle you'd have the wheel/tire/rotor etc go flying off worst case, since the axles literally slide right out of the hubs.

In our case, the axles are physically secured with the axle nut, which is why the c-clip rule doesn't apply, as it only stipulates that axles must not be SECURED by c-clips, not that axles cannot have them at all.
