That really sucks, i would be so pissed, i would go out of my mind. There is no reason EVER for someone to steal, you think those guys had a good reason to steal? did they need those wheels more than you? OF COURSE NOT!

Ok, lets say he couldn't hear anything becuase, he has bad ears,

They used a fork lift
took off the tires
got 4 diffrent jacks
threw them under the car
ran

haha, no im just kidding!

Well hey you didn't like the rims, so well now that u HAVE to get some get some nice lookin 18's.

Hey if i were a smart degenerate no life robbing shamless F#%KTARD, i would at least rob some rims of a more popular car like a silverado,f-150, cobalt, fusion, or a jeep. I mean come on! wouldn't you wanna sell them as fast as possible?

Just saw this yesterday. Sorry if it's a repost -- didn't want to dig through 13 pages. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/car-...d-slammed.html They say some rude things, especially coming from people with cheap, old, ricey cars.

my husband bought the McGard locks and brought them with us to Virginia, where we picked up the car...
He installed them right there at the dealer...
We stayed at a hotel across the street from the dealer overnight and drove back to NY the next day...
The dealer was nice enough to let us keep our new car in the service garage (locked), overnight and drove us to the hotel and picked us up the next morning, so we didn't have to worry about our car in the hotel parking lot "unattended"...

Thanks for the info on the Viper system. I plan on getting one. We dont have a garage. Heck right now I have a drive way large enough for my current ride and nothing more

And to think, I thought the 18" wheels were ugly.

Should be easy to find the perpetrator though. Not many 2010 Camaro wheels on ebay yet.

Attachment 28455

Update 5/31 3:28

Sheriff's office left a message. Apparently in the "debris" around the car was a Range Rover Tool Kit as well. They apparently found the Range Rover that was also without wheels and the tool kit. I have 3 jacks under the car right now.

Good thoughts from everyone.

Have a garage, but left the opener at work when I let another engineer take Number 3 for the weekend. So didn't put it in the garage. Often in the summer, I'll just park in the driveway.

Had my hands full when I was bringing in our luggage, thought to lock the door and OOPS, central locking under the radio doesn't work real well with luggage hanging around your shoulder so I figured I would just hit the button on the key fob from inside the house. So either I did and the car didn't lock or I just didn't, the car was unlocked this morning and I am doubtful the thieves could have opened the doors without the key, but you never know.

Just hoping there is no damage to the exhaust or oil pan. We'll have to wait and see.

I'll keep you posted.

Update 6/1 5:53pm

Well first, I arranged for Number 3 to be taken back to our Service Technology Garage at the Warren Tech Center. Not to plug anyone but Von's towing, in the photo below took great care with the car. The owner actually came out to help which is why you see two trucks.

It turns out the thieves damaged the front fascia when jacking from odd points using jacks from 4 different manufacturers. The Range Rover jack was badly bent so it appears the intent may have been to leave the car on the jacks and it simply fell off.

No word on any other damage, but they said for sure not this week and probably more like two weeks out of commision. By that point Number 3 will have served the 6 month rotation in the CTF.

So Number 3 may finish the season on Injured Reserve. Lets hope for a quick comeback.

So now I have this loaner car, an Impala SS, so I'm thinking am I disaster proof or would these idiots jack Impala SS wheels? Oh well, garage tonight, but I am feeling somehow like I let them win if I can't even park a car in my own driveway..

That blows my mind that some people can be so freaken creepy to do that.. Your home looks to be in a nice area too. Wow is all I can say dam loosers anyway..

I am trying to find the part number for the 20" polished aluminum wheels. I called Gorilla and they said they do NOT make locking lugs for the 2010 Camaro yet.

What part number are you folks using?

I called gorilla direct a couple of months age and the gal there also told me they don't make a lock for the 20" SS polished wheel.
If anyone has the Gorilla lock part number for the 2SS/RS polished wheel we would like to have it.
Thanks.

That sucks bigtime! I've got 20" Foose Nitrous and before they even came close to the car, Guard Locks were in hand.

Thing is you can only do so much to protect your stuff...if someone wants it bad enough, they'll find a way. I always worry when we go on bike trips and I gotta park the Harley outside with no real protection. When your travelling with the bike, you cant be dragging along massive heavy locks to chain it down. All you can do is do what you can, the best you can.

The one thing I DO make sure of is the car is locked up tight, garage doors are locked and even in the garage I lock the car doors. If anything it may not stop them, but may slow them down or make them find an easier target.

Just move on and get some nice shoes for that thing and enjoy!
