Does it say what the ring gear size/diameter is?

Thanks Andy!
Can you tell if there is any machining required for taller gears? Is there enough room in the pinion area?

I don't know much about differentials, but...does it appear "stout"?

It is 8.8 gear.

We need gears first to see what if any machining is necessary.

It has huge axles

Andy,
Just curious....what is the spline count? Is the carrier sound? It looks like an Eaton.

We are working with a company that has one apart right now,Their job is to come up with what my customer base truly wants.

Wheel hop is tremendous right now on these cars,a stronger rear end will not fix that problem, but once we get that eliminated(or reduced to a sain level) then things start to twist.

this is really great news... do you guys know how much RWHP can the axles (halfshafts) take?

I'm worried about the outer cv joint...

Not that I question ADM, they have done a tone of research.

But I'm not accepting the "tremendous" evaluation of wheel hop. There are a ton of people here who have spoken on the work GM has done to eliminate it on this platform.

So, his customers may have a very high standard and be expecting zero wheel hop.

Having ridden in the car and having more then the necessary ammount of power applied to get it moving, I can say we felt no noticeable wheel hop.

FWIW.

Let not stir this pot if we don't have to.

I agree. I these cats were testing on a prep'd strip I can accept some hop. On the street that wouldn't be too cool. From just the few videos I've watched, the little I saw is not concerning .

The issue is at the track not the street....For those that have ever danced down a legal 1/4 mile you know what is like.

The tires are a fusible link on the street.

Hennessey was able to get a pretty good launch on some drag radials. Didn't seem to have much wheelhop.

Robin

Thanks for the info'. At almost 9-inches, it's no wonder it's been stated to hold up to 600+ horse'. Very good news indeed.

That is great news.

so, looks like that will be enough to handle a streetable supercharger set up. As you'll be spinning the tires more often than not... it's asking a lot to expect to hold 600hp on the street.

Especially when using the Launch Control
