The Camaro Mail Slot Scanner is designed for the mail slot on the SS but we do also sell universal scanners.

You can use a switch to turn it on and off from your car but to change the patterns you will need to use the remote

Yes, you can wire in your own toggle switch and mount it in the cabin of the car so you can turn the scanner on/off when you choose to.

Thank you for let us know!! Where did you get your smoked film at??

I'm gonna have to try that. The NightShades didn't work nearly as well as I hoped. I've been trying to touch it up for the last 3-4 days and can seem to get right.

Sorry for the revive but this looks very cool.
I was just wondering how this newer version is installed and if it requires any cutting or drilling into my front bumper cover?

Also can I control the scanner from the inside of the car or do I need to be outside of it? I sometimes use my Camaro as a response vehicle and if it's IR then I don't see as much use from it.
