What is the best line lock?

As the title says I am looking to buy a line lock. I have only been able to find a couple that are specific to the 5th gen. SLP, TCI and SJM. Which one are you running and how easy was the install? I'm not looking for the cheapest way out but i dont see the sense in spending almost 300 dollars for a name.

I don't have one, however I have installed a B&M line lock. It was an easy straight forward install. Apex has them on their site for $175 which should be in your price range.

Havent had any problems with my Hurst. Very easy install, maybe an hour tops and that includes bleeding the breaks.

Just finished installing. It was pretty easy install aside from bleeding the bakes. I bought the vacuum bleeder from autozone, after 3-4 times trying to get all the air out, i finally decided to resort to the old school method. All is good now.

I noticed every time i activate and test it, i get a "service stabilitrak" message in the DIC. Anybody else have this issue? Or is it normal? It eventually goes away after it sits for a while.

A line lock is a solenoid that you install in line with your front brake line coming off the master cylinder. Its used for doing a good burnout before a race, and can also be used when staging to leep from rolling out of the lights. Once you arm it you press on the brake pedal, hold the activate button down, release the brake pedal, this holds the front brakes and allows the back wheels to spin freely. Saves wear and tear on the brakes

If it really bothers you, you can do a mod that will reset the Stabilitrak once the line-lock is released. It's a pretty easy mod.

The thread for it is here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ight=line+lock

The info you need starts at post #18.

as mentioned, the "service stabilitrack" is normal. I actually use the linelock for a second while in the staging lane to turnoff my traction and stability controls. This is easier than holding the nanny button down and it lets me know the linelock is working.

Angel, are you saying you just "bump" the line lock to activate the stabilitrak service light to turn everything off?

We use, offer and install the Hurst Roll Control system. It is very straight forward and we also offer our own supplemental wiring instructions.

Kind regards,
