What's your opinion on a sunroof?

I've seen a few Camaros this week at a local dealer and noticed the roof is different depending on if it has a sunroof or not. Without the sunroof the roof has a dip in the center and is higher on the sides. With the sunroof the roof is straight across before and after the sunroof. I like the looks better without the sunroof because the Camaro has better body lines but would like to get the sunroof when I place my order.

Just wondering who thinks it looks better with or without the sunroof and is the sunroof really worth it?

If anyone has good pictures of the roofs with and without the sunroof please post.

I don't like spiders and snakes..... or sunroofs, t-tops and convertibles. That's just me.

This has been covered before but ill give u my thoughts on it. It really is a personal choice even though purists will say sunroofs are a no no on these type's of cars. I would never buy a car without one these days i always use it. The thing people hate about them is it wrecks the beautiful lines on the roof and they can leak and malfunction. My advice take one out with and without a sunroof and form your own opinion. There is no wrong answer here.

No sunroof for me. I like the reverse mohawk look of the pure coupe... I also will enjoy the extra headroom.

I don't like how it opens outward. I prefer the reverse mohawk, I need as much head room as possible, the sunroof takes too much away. I would have preferred T-Tops, or a Targa top.But I would still have not have got one. I do like the reverse mohawk more.

Well said. I too have broken the taboo of ordering a sunroof. I had one on a Monte Carlo SS and it was GREAT!!!

I wasn't a fan of the sunroof at first because of the way it looked when it was open, and then I realized that anytime the roof is open, I'll be INSIDE the car, so it really doesn't matter.

Ive had the thing open every time I've driven the car since I got it- it's nice and big and great for cruising on a sunny day.

I would've preferred a moon roof. Don't care for the extra spoiler look on top..

I ordered with the Sunroof, but wound up canceling it because I liked the reverse mohawk better! And to boot, I saved almost $1K

I test drove one without, and my first impression was that the interior was pretty dark and the sunroof would be needed to let more light in.

And then I decided I didn't really care, and bought one without the sunroof. I've enjoyed having a sunroof the past 4 years, but will have to get used to not having one. I don't think I'll have much of a problem. The rest of the car is so damn sweet that I won't even notice.

i like the roof better without ofcourse...but i really like having a sunroof...people say that you shouldnt put a sun roof on these kind of cars but hey the camaro never had one, so i look at it like having the opportunity to own the first camaro with a sunroof...cuz 10 years from now the whole "these cars shouldnt have sunroofs" will be obsolete...

Personal choice but I don't like sunroofs. I've had one on my car for 10 years and opened it...probably twice.

i'm in the no sunroof group, I don't like the sun on my head or shining behind my sunglasses. (Like when the sun is behind you) Just me, everyone else in the family wanted one! The $ arguement won out.

I originally wanted this option but dumped it to save money. I once had a '77 T-Bird with a power sunroof. It was a nice feature.
