ChriSStine and I got ours at Dynamo Cycles on Ayers St. Think they were 130 each. They too are Snell 2010 certified. Scorpion was the brand.

Dynocycles on Ayers is where Mike & I got ours. Great prices. Jason & Jen got theirs at that location also.

I got mine at CC Cycle Plaza just of SPID. They are a little more expensive, $135 for mine, but Dynamo Cycles was closed when I went to get mine.

Tara, I went to go try on the different brands to get a feeling of how they fit. Size, padding, etc. Then ordered thru competition accessories online and got one for $100 shipped and free cleaner also.
Mike, will get comp 2 like Jody and will put them on wed or thurs.

Hope everything goes well for her. We will have a meet before the next AutoX. Just check this link periodically. It will be posted on the first page. We usually meet over by Dillard's at the mall. If there is anything I can do for you, let me know. Welcome to the family.

What they said. We are probably going to change our meeting spot to NAPA on SPID since it is easier to get out of there for cruises.

. I am not sure if I will stay all day both days. Depends on the number of cars. I will probably just stay for one set of runs both days. I still gotta hang up lights this weekend and will have to wash the cars Sunday when we are done.

Not to be dick but.... The AutoX is run by volunteers. People who also have other things to do on the weekends. While it is not required to come early to set up or stay late to put everything away it sure is appreciated. It is also noted by other members. When representing one particular group of cars it would go a long way toward making our group look good if we can get 100% participation from start to finish. It is understandable that once in a while it is necessary to leave early. When it becomes a habit is when it is noticeable. We like to have 100% with the other things we do. This should be no different. Just sayin.

Mike,

I understand completely. Working nights kinda sux for autocross, though. The drivers' meeting is right in the middle of my normal sleep time. I can only make Saturdays and then perhaps not the entire day because I'm off on Saturday nights. They're talking about teaching me some new skills here at work that are only used on the day shift Monday through Friday, so perhaps in the future I can help with setup and tear down.

I'm sorry that my current situation doesn't allow for more participation.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Tara

Jen,

Thanks for the offer of your spare helmet! I'll probably take you up on that if it fits. My next paycheck is devoted to buying two spare tires for the 1LE. With no spare, I don't want to be out of a car if I have a tire failure. I don't think anyone in town stocks the 285/35-20 Goodyear F1 Supercar tire... Dam things are $378 each loose.

Thanks again,

Tara

Check discount. I think they are lower than that, but you have to call or go in because they are not listed on the web site.

Thanks for that info! I had checked their website and didn't see tire listed, so I gave up on 'em! I'll go by tomorrow afternoon. If they're a better price, I'll order them straight away. If not, I'll go with my friend at Brooks Tire on Leopard.

Take care,

Tara

Im contemplating on taking my car saturday morning to get the boat anchors changed to a magnaflow mufflers. If I got there at 8 they would probably have it done by 9 or 930 leaving me time to get to auto cross. I am just worried that it will sound bad when AFM kicks in.

I think they had them for like 338. Hope my memory is not failing, but I know it seemed pretty reasonable.

Well y'all have fun without me on Saturday. My flight was cancelled last night. If things go well I'll leave BA tonight and get home tomorrow afternoon. Depending on the time I may be able to come help but won't run tomorrow. I'll have to get my fix on Sunday. Good luck to you all.
