Getting impatient

I have a VR ZL1 6M on order since April, it is entered and accepted by GM. I know there are under 100 ZL1's in Canada for 2012. I was planning on starting to buy mods for the car but have had a few people tell me to wait until I get the car for sure. What are everyone's opinion? Start buying mods or wait to make sure I get the car.

Any recommendations for a shop on the west coast from LA to Seattle that specializes in these cars.

I bought a bunch of my mods before I got my car. It saved time and helped pass the time waiting for my car to arrive.
