A brand new LS7 crate engine is expensive as sh1t. If you're dead set on it, ok, but know that you could probably build a fully forged + boosted LSX 427 for about the same price.

That price isn't too bad actually. I've seen some tune key ones go for 20k+

Texas Speed offers a turn-key, don't have the price on the site, but if the longblock is $10k, i don't figure it'd be $20k either, lol

That TSP motor is using aftermarket hardware (pistons, rods, etc.). That is not a GM LS7. The block is, but not the entire motor. The production GM LS7 has titanium rods, valves, etc. and thus costs more.

Here is another example:

http://sdparts.com/details/mast-motorsports/mms113-302

Very well known builder, but not a genuine GM LS7 engine. (note the scat rods and crank)

I'm not sure whether or not the OP wants a a genuine LS7 or not, but if he does, it's going to cost a pretty penny.

Rebuild your ls3 for less $. That's what I would do.

I actually think that is pretty cheap for the full set up from GMparts. I heard in the past that same setup was $25k.

I like the idea of dropping in a GM built LS7. Kinda like a modern COPO. Pricey, yes but with a GM hot cam, some headers and cai, Im guessing you would be around 570hp at the crank. This seems to be everyones wish for a Z28. I have been qouted just over $13,000 for the GMPP crate motor.

That's a great deal! If you checked out the links I posted, the next one from SDCP costs about 17k. Then from turnkey engine supply, they want almost 23k!
