SS vs modified rice

In my group of friends i hang around on my down time there all japanese cars, evo, sti, and ms3. were headed to the local track tomorrow night, Ive ridden in all three cars and they were pretty impressive...so my question is who do you think will give me the best run for my money?

2009 Mitsubishi lancer evo 358awhp
2005 Subaru sti 361awhp
2007 Mazdaspeed3 376fwhp
vs my 2011 camaro ss 432rwhp

They like to talk alot of smack lol Im pretty confident but a little nervous at the same time considering there all about 400lbs lighter than me.

Should be some good runs. If the track isn't gripping well you'll have your hands full with the awd cars.

I wouldnt be too surprised if the 2005 sti gets you by a car length or so if you dont get a good launch. But with your mods you should be able to beat them all with a good launch.

If the EVOs dyno is from a dynojet it should trap 110-112mph. Driven well that would =low 12's.
Ive owned a 355whp evo and thats where my $ would be in this 1/4

I see you have an ls3 so its manual, thus have fun trying to hook. I hope youre a good driver.

The speed3 is fwd right? I raced one with the same whp im my v6 at the track and beat him by 2 cars. You can look it up on youtube if you care enough.

So youll definitely beat him, he wont hook all night.

The other two...Id put my money on them at the track. From a roll youll take them but they will probably put up better times than you.

You have tires... its game over for all of them as long as you can drive! Those cars are not going to out MPH you and they wont 60ft any better... not when your running tires. Get your revs up and lauch that thing, if your not pulling low 1.8s at lest... try harder! I would be suprized if any of them run any faster then high 12s, you should be 12.4-3s fairly easy.

Make sure you get your tires hot when you do your burn outs. Other wise it's gonna be game over and those awd cars are gonna eat you alive.

if you didnt have the tires you would have been at a disadvantage but since you do you should win fairly easy since you'll hook and just pull on them hard

Videos are a must and don't be shy to post them please... win or lose, it's all fun!
IMO, the awd's will give you a nice challenge. Preferably, hope you win of course!

AWD is not an advatage when you have tires on a RWD! AWD robs speed and breaks more parts, I love how people see AWD and think they are track stars This ant no video game! Front wheel is crap on the track also, if those imports dont make big speed they run slow as hell. If you can drive this will be walk in the park!

My question would be, out of all of you, who has track experience ?
I've seen many a car who gave up a considerable amount of power win a 1/4 drag race. Driver knowledge and skill can be just as important as a drag radial tire, and can easily trump a 50 RWHP deficiet....especially when they're 400 lbs lighter, as you alluded to.
Adding to that is your reaction time on the tree..... sleep at the light and it could be all over by the 1/8th.

Remember......a 1/4 drag race is about who gets across the stripe first.....not who traps the highest MPH or runs the lower ET.

Your going to get used like the lone hooker at a Viagra convention. These races are going to the most experienced with their cars, and if you are asking, I am guessing that you are the newb.

There is no such thing as six-speed manual Evo X. They only come in 5-speed manual (GSR) and 6-speed clutch auto (MR).

If the evo and especially the sti can only run high 12s they are awful drivers. Keep in mind the weight of these cars. a 370awhp sti is perfectly capable of 11s. They only weigh 3,300 pounds with way more gear than the camaro and great traction. A close friend of mine has a 20gxt on his and he sees 119mph trap speeds running 11.6-11.7 with just under 400awhp. Go check out the subaru forums if you want proof.
