Someone or something dinged my car this weekend

This just sucks.. I usually always keep my car parked in the street by my apt.. I live on a dead end street and keep it parked under a streetlight.. I have had My Mustang Honda and now my SS parked there for over 6 years with no issue until what had to be between thurs and sat night..

2 dings on the body lines of ALL places .. Not a MARK on the paint. NOTHING

This just pisses me off because it's like I don't know HOW it happened.. Or who may have done this..

I know everyone on the block basically.

Same thing happened to my and a freshly painted IROC , back in about 1992.

This was in the exact same spot , and how it happened was a complete mystery.I heard something hit, but I did not stop , and did notice it the next day.

Late at night , going over an overpass.[highway underneath]. No traffic anywhere near me.

Gunshot from a grassy knoll? Meteorite? Fast heavy bird.

I wish I knew what it was.

That looks like a baseball or tennis ball dent. Maybe some kids were playing street ball or something and one got away. It happens.

That's not to say it doesn't suck though. Sorry to hear about it.

You need to find a new paintless dent removal guy then. I had one dent and 2 dings taken out of the body lines on my car and you cant even tell anything was ever there. Took about 45 minutes and $120 and it's as straight as can be.

Just a-thought but maybe it didn't happen there. It is on the passenger side correct? Maybe you only saw it there now because you walked up to the car from that side. Either way it sux, good luck with the fix...

A good PDR guy can get that out if you were closer I would do it for you for free. Today's metals are more "memory" oriented and you would be surprised at what can be done. Take something with straight stripes on it and hold it next to the dent at at right angle so a PDR guy can get more detail about the situation and email a photo to several in your area. Shouldn't take more than about 20 or 30 minutes to get it to return.

My car was 6 weeks old when some jerk got me...right over the front driver's side wheel. I was parked at the end of the lot with no one in sight and TONS of empty spaces too. Insurance wanted to fix it and paint the side of my car. Fortunately, the body shop I used was sickened at the thought of doing that to my car and called in the dent guy. $120 later I had original paint and no ding. Try the dent guy first. Ask a good body shop for a recommendation. I'm glad I did.

2SS, I see you live in Long Island. Call these guys and check with them before you do any body work. http://www.doctordentny.com/ (their web site is really slow...) They are in Whitestone Queens and in Nassau County in Hicksville. They did work on my Cadillac, and they fixed a nasty problem with my 2011 Challenger - the dealer dinged it near the body line when it was a week old, and the dealer's hack PDR guy made it worse. DentdoctorNY fixed it in 10 minutes to 99% for $175 - best money I ever spent. If they can't do it, THEN do body work... Good luck - and I hope the person that did that to your car gets jock itch for life.

Go to a dealer and get them to vacuum the dents out

After 2 years of Camaro ownership, I've finally come to a place of acceptance that shit's going to happen to my car no matter what I do. Doesn't mean I'm going to throw all caution to the wind, just that I'm not going to go outwardly psychotic when strange nicks, dents and scratches appear. At 44K believe me they already have, can't explain 3/4 of them, other 1/4 are my own fault. I needed to let it go.

I speak that more with my lips then with my actions....I'm working on it.

Did he drill a hole in the jam? Looks like that would be the only way to even get a tool on that dent.....
