General Mechanical threads...........

I started this thread to find out how a battery can stay charged and juiced up and yet still be bad at the same time.

It is morphing into a Jeep thread, which was not my intention.

I understand we have areas that could be considered to fit the type of thread I posted. But the only two I found that in my opinion would fit in any way.

This one.

Mechanical Maintenance: Break-in / Oil & Fluids / Servicing

But it is seems out of place to put it here because this is obviously expected to be Camaro related considering the bundled areas of that forum.

And this one.

General Automotive + Other Cars Discussion

Which you wouldn't expect to see general automotive mechanical systems knowledge info. I'm not sure that this area woudl get many of our more mechanically inclined and willing to help members.

The Garage/Tools area is in a sub-forum titled Technical Camaro Topics.

Doesn't matter to me really, I just wanted to get an answer to my general automotive question. Wasn't sure where to put it to get the type of people interested that would know the answer.

Might be worth the slot to have a General Automotive Mechanical section for the systems that work the same on most cars. Like the battery system.

Just a thought. Move my thread where it should go I suppose. But I wasn't sure where to put it.

Batteries can show full charge and still be bad. Put a load on them and they go to zero.

Pretty sure that's not your issue but figured the thread needed a bump...
