New here and I'm completely insane.

Hey boys and girls... just wanted to drop in and say hello...

Just put my down payment/deposit on a 2010 Chevy Camaro 2SS at Colussy Chevrolet in Bridgeville, PA. First off those guys are the only dealership in the Pittsburgh area that didnt completely dick me around or try to charge me over sticker. They factory ordered the 2ss, black, RS package blah blah blah basically everything but sun roof, ground effects package, any body stripes and the 21inch wheels... but included the inferno orange interior.... sweeeeeeet.

I haven't driven a camaro yet... which makes me think im a complete idiot for buying a car i've never driven, and only sat in the RS. Oh well, i just had to have it so FTW. Someone who's taken delivery tell me its the greatest thing since sliced bread so i don't lose sleep for the approximately 11weeks 2days until mine realistically shows up. (we're guessing 12 weeks for delivery as that's how long its taken for every other car ive ever ordered) It be great if somehow mine just materialized this week. I'm getting rid of an 06 Dodge Ram SRT-10, so im anxious to get into a car with some HP that has a real weight distribution ratio and a proper suspension. I'm like a kid who just ate his weight in chocolate, thats how excited i am to get this damn car.

So whats the scoop people? Look forward to seeing everyones tweaks and tricks on the new Camaro....

Yeah, 3months was wishful thinking, especially with the bankruptcy, but the dealer used its last allocation on me, so that's nice... Maybe they'll throw me a bone since its the oldest Chevy dealer in country? Ha-- im polishing a turd here, but damn it if it wont be shiny!

How long has everyone else been waiting and is there anyway to track progress?

and hey SSmoke.... hope you dont live in PA because that was going to be my license place "SSMOKES"

It's still not too late to go out and find a dealer that will let you drive one....

Congrats on the order and welcome to the boards!

That may be a can of worms you don't want to open. Many of us have been waiting since mid-October. I ordered at the end of October so it's been about 7 months for me. The best way to track your progress is through your dealer.

Welcome to the site. You may not be completely insane, though. At least you sat in one first. I finally sat in one last month.

Crafton...Birthplace of former Steelers Head Coach and current Hurricanes fan Bill Cowher.

On a side note, I wish the Penguins still practiced at the Mt. Lebanon ice rink. It was almost a rite of passage to skip school a couple times a year and watch them practice and hound for autographs, hehe.

So what other dealerships did you try? I'm almost 100% positive Century III would probably be yanking people around. Bought my first car from them and they tried like HELL to keep me around until I agreed on the warranty they wanted me to take, "undercarriage treatment" etc etc. I still get so pi$$ed when I think about it I want to shank someone in the neck.

wrong dude... Crarfton is the birthplace of my mom. lol... They actually grew up on the same street. Mario lived 3 houses from me when they practiced at Lebo... i was his paper boy growing up.

i HATE centruy III chevy--- bunch of lying theives... i actually stormed back into the sales managers office and tore my paper work in 1000 pieces... 2 of their sales people were extremely rude to my mother... MY MOM! ARE YOU KIDDING???? One almost hit her with a car in the parking lot while she was checking out the red RS they had...

I went completely insane to the point where i think the sales manager was worried i was going to hit him. I just tore my stuff up and swore i'd never even get my oil changed there...

Tried Century III, Classic, Kenny Ross, Castriota, Day Chevy, Sun Chevy, and a few dealers in Ohio. My dad is actually friends with Tim Colussy... should have just gone there in the first place, but i was being really impatient, as anyone would be.

Its wing night at wiggy's...

Century III Chevy are a bunch of PRICKS! My mom bought a cobalt there that they advertised had alloy rims, but it had hubcaps when they gave it to her. They fought her for about 4 months before they finally switched the dang rims.

Oh btw, I'm new here also! Just registered, I am I member of GenCoupe.com () and am just cross shopping, because I made this on the Camaro Microsite and my jaw dropped:

<-- My reactions, in order.

(1LT RS, Racing Stripes, Connectivity/Convienence Package [should come standard btw ])

Gorgeous. I think the Camaro and Genesis Coupe both look STUNNING in person, Camaro has a great retro-modern thing going, and Gen has a great modern sport look going for it!

Too many mustangs... won't even go there, want something unique.

Challenger rofl NO THX!

In any event, I'm just trying to decide which I like better... for the price I could get a 2.0T I could get a V6 in the 'Maro... So Yeah its definitely tempting.

Hawthorne Ave.

I actually looked at a house on that street.

Anyway, I'm so glad Crivelli isn't on that list. I've dealt with them for every other vehicle I've owned and had nothing but positives there. I will either be going there or Tom Henry. I'm not in any rush, so I doubt by the time I'm ready I'll have to deal with a significant waiting list--probably the only downside if any-- about Tom Henry.

I feel kind of obligated to go to Crivelli. Good dealers work with you and help you because there is a chance of repeat business, and I like to reciprocate the kindness when possible. The problem is I'm not even sure if the guy I've bought my cars off in the past is even still working there. I've pretty much decided if he isn't, Tom Henry it is.
