WHICH RED?

about to place my ZL1 order: Crystal Red Tintcoat or Victory Red? with auto, bright wheels, exposed carbon fiber, & floor mats. $2,600 gas guzzler tax for the auto, but i really like how it's been tweaked, + i live in a high traffic area.

I really like the crystal red tintcoat. When I ordered my ZL1 it was on contraint and the only car I had seen it on was the CTS-V with all the chrome accents. not my taste.

Now that people have taken delivery I think it is one of the best colors with all the black accents it just works. I think it works way better with the black wheels though. wierd.

with the bright wheels it is a toss up to me. this car never really looks bad in any color. even white which I usually don't like on car I like on ZL1's

^^^ Totally agree CRT w/ black accents was my 2nd choice over white... Could have gone either way.

Both are great colors, but if you are going with the optional wheels then I would go Victory Red!

Partial to the CRT, but it does show dirt/dust more than I like.

Victory Red. CRT looks too much like burgandy IMO. Your choice, it will be awesome whichever you choose.

I went with Victory Red...
It is used in all of the posters and most of the advertising for the ZL1.
Red and black...very hot!

Victory Red over CRT all day long. I don't like CRT at all. Looks great on Cadillacs, not so much on a Camaro.

Victory- Murdered for me

I chose Victory because in my minds eye it is more of a performance color.
When you remove all the chrome it looks even more performance looking.
CRT is classier looking to me and I like it, but I chose to look more racy. Can't miss with either.

CRT was my second choice I went with Rally Yellow

I am a bright Red Person most of my stuff over the years has been and is Red.

The Victory Red is not as Bright As I would like in a Red.

Victory red by far. Honestly, the crystal red looks like a burgandy from an old toyota camry or an 80's cadillac. I think victory red looks the best on the ZL1 and the crystal red is the worst. In fact I do not understand how people are buying that color and Chevy still keeps it in the line up.

Deciding which red to choose? Then go with Inferno Orange Metallic. Hey, IOM is the current metallic version of the old solid color hugger orange. And Chevy's hugger orange was the same paint code and color as Pontiac's carousel red back in the day (this is true - google it for proof). So if Pontiac could call hugger orange red, then you can order an inferno orange metallic ZL1 and call it red.

wow, really stirred the pot with this one! 11 votes for VR and 8 for CRT. tonyfred's and oldtoad's pics sealed it for me: VR with bright wheels. too bad Chevy doesn't offer some other colors besides red for the interior stitching, e.g. IOM would look great w/ orange stitching. the special order guy at my dealership left early today, so i got an appt. next Wed. to input my order. many thanks for everyone's feedback, have a great holiday weekend!

A couple more pics to help solidify your choice.
And for the record, I think the CRT looks awesome too.
If I were a rich man, I would have a ZL1 in every color offered and then custom paint some more! I am telling you....this is an awesome machine.
