CANADA ZL1 CUSTOMERS

First off I have always driven a Chevy. I own a 12 CTSV and a 12 ZL1 and also a 11 1500 crew cab. But I am VERY ANGRY I paid more for my ZL1 made 30mins from my house then the USA, I pay more destination charges then someone in California and I could not order my car till 3 months after the USA could which strangley Im ok with. But GM is sending out ZL1 Credential letters to all of THE American ZL1 owners and The Canadians are not receiving them. IF it is to expensive for GM to send the Credential letters to Canada I will pay the POSTAGE. I fell very cheated by GM on this and I know it seems childish but come on there are only 1900 total produced and maybe 50 in Canada . CHRIS PERRY VP of GLOBAL Marketing GLOBAL INCLUDES CANADA. Make this right

While I am not in your situation, I certainly agree that there is no reason Canadian customers should be treated any differently. For goodness sakes, the car is made in Canada. Here's to GM making it right and getting you what you deserve!!!

I have purchased all my vehicles in the past 6 years from the U.S. including my ZL1 which I saved 15 grand on. It is a joke they treat us this way. I guess on the plus side I will probably get the credential letter.

Sounds like GM Canada should pick up the ball here and do some PR work.

Tim, I KNOW that you'll get where I'm going with what I'm saying.
I understand where your heart is. I've never owned anything other than GM vehicles. I feel cheated not to have my ZL1 built and shipped to me, being manufactured just an hour down the road, and having ordered it many, many months ago.
No offense whatsoever meant to our friends in the US. Get that...I'm glad that you have them.
It still hurts...It would be great to get my car, then get the Credentials.
Nuff said...

I ordered a zed in January 2012 in Montreal, and I still don't have one yet. Passed an opportunity to get a rare 1M BMW when it was still possible. Now winter is almost here. I bought 6 gm cars of which 3 were Camaros. Way to go GM for taking good care of Canadian buyers.

My ZL1 #37 was delivered April 10 and I do not yet have my Credentials, but I do have hope that it will be here soon, along with those of my Canadian brothers. If it was sent by US Mail, there is no telling when it will arrive here in So Cal.

Tim
I feel the same as you regarding GM in general we support them by buying their vehicles and it seems like they treat us much differently than the rest of the world that buys their vehicles.
I currently have 6 GM vehicles and I bought a new pick up two months after I purchased my ZL1 and I am a little more than disappointed on how they treat us Canadians.
I am in the process of getting my wife a new vehicle and it was going to be an another GM product but I will more than likely purchase one from another manufacturer not just because of the letter but because of how they handle their PR in general with us Canadians.
I spoke to GM yesterday regarding the credentials for my ZL1 and of course they said we have no information for you which is just B.S.
the process I went through for my car was just ridiculous even though I have been a loyal GM customer for 25 years its the principal for me as I'm sure it is with the rest of us.
What would it take for them to send them out to everyone that purchased one of their $65k cars.....
I would think that they would appreciate all their customers that buy their vehicles.
Anyways we will wait and see I guess.

Hey everyone just have to put my 2 cents into this one cause this really hits a nerve with me. GM really gave Canada the shaft with the ZL1! As I've been waiting for a ZL1 since July of 2011. Its was only a couple of days ago I got a TPW. I'm new to this forum and want to say that there seems to be a lot of great people and fellow Camaro enthusiasts

Yep..just another nail in the coffin for GM Canada and its very poor reputation in customer service and fair trade for Canadian customers.

delayed ordering
no tracking
excess shipping charges
no hood rebate
now no credentials.

I live in the USA and I havent gotten any "credentials" yet. But you know what...it is a piece of paper. I wont let that interfere with enjoying the amazing vehicle I was lucky enough to buy.

I spoke to GM today and they are looking in to the paperwork and will get back to me next week. It seems a bit weird that they don't know the answer

Lol that's the same answer they give to anything that has to do with the ZL1. At least that's what they say when ever I call to ask questions.
