Why no SRT8 comparisons?

Buddy of mine asked this the other day. So far haven't they only compared it to the R/T models?

Yeah, I think there will be a SRT8 comparison soon, but all of the main comparisons have focused on the cars in the same price range (GT, R/T).

Here, it's been compared about 40 million times.

But yeah, I would assume the mags like to compare based on which model it's obviously priced to compete with.

because it cost way too much and for 4k more you can have a GT500 that will blow the ever lasting hell out of that SRT8

Unlike other people who like to compare the SS to vehicles that cost 5 to 8 K more.

I think those prices have dropped. I have not heard of anyone latley paying $42k for an SRT8 product. Not in the past 6 months anyway. Compare prices they are being sold for please. I ask a dealer in Fremont Ca "how much to order an SS like that one there?" He said, "This one is fully loaded so about 42, plus our lovley dealer mark up." How much is dealer markup? like 5-15K?

Are you kidding? a dealer mark-up on an ordered car? You my friend, need to lay off the crack pipe.

Destroy? No.

The manual version of the SS edges out the SRT by a tenth. However, what is impressive is the cost difference between the two and how close the performance is.

There are few comparisons because they are way out of each other's price range...it's really that simple.

Please post your "Out the door price".I'm really curious how much dealer mark up is being added to which models in which areas.

"Destroy?" I think you might be talking a little early since your car has not even been under your ass yet. You must not have been up against much in that area.

BTW My SRT8 walks my SS. SRT* is a Torque monster.

Trust me, they are not getting sticker for them in this economy. Not most places anyway. Go over to the SRT8 forums, check the paper. I saw an add Sunday for a new one for 32K. Yes it was an 08 but, it was loaded and not a demo. Please, someone, anyone, photocopy the bottom line of your new SS, loaded. Bet I dont see one for 32K. Atleast not photoshopped.

Is your SRT stock? If it is then the [manual] SS wins stock for stock.

Intakes on both. The 300 has a "Predator tune" . The difference is the tourque down low, then the SRT8 hits 3rd gear its over. More power, more technology i guess. Like it or not, that the facts.

Comparing a more modded car to a slightly modded car is a bit silly, but regardless, the EVIC screen is easily fooled and is not an accurate measurement as you could be on a slight decline without realizing it. Go to the track and get the numbers and I'll be interested.

EDIT: More technology? I was under the impression the current generation Hemi is based off the LS1, which we are past and using the LS3. However, I could be wrong.

forreal people need to quit worrying and using magazine tests and 0-60 times. see what happens in real life with you driving your car. test mean squat in the real world when it aint you driving
