Well birds already baptized my TL1 Hood Conversion Kit :v damn you birds; also I checked today after driving it to the local dealer (had a problem with the engine, nothing related with the TL1 Conversion Kit related with Engine Power Reduced) to fix the problem and install/program the PDIM Kit (180 bucks there yikes >.>) and checked the ram, it was warm/hot but the wrap stayed still and firm so no problem with that :3 so I'd recommend 3M Carbon Fiber Wrap; CamaroSS45 did you wrap it also using 3M Carbon Fiber or used another american brand/chinese imported wrap?

I don't know if this is due to the wrap. My insert does not follow the lines of my hood in the front... I have to push it down while tightening the bolts.

Did any one else notice this?

Still wanting on the paint. The painter has it now and said he should be done by the weekend...

Here is a quick picture of it before... This is unbolted; you can see the gap I'm talking about...

Goo, I had that gap too... thought it was my carbon fiber wrap (you wrapped it too btw, might be the wrap)... well the guy who did the profesionnal install tightened the bolt as much as he could (not super tight so it wouldn't bend the aluminum hood) and filled the gap with the black glue (sorry I don't know the name) apart from applying as suggested he filled the gap after being bolted; then used a crystaline liquid (Can't remember the name) to clean it up; and it dried and at least at first glance you don't see it was filled with anything. Suggestion if you have that issue; thats how the guy fixed it.

Is the gap on one side or both sides? As much as these cost, there should not be gap(s). Got mine painted, but can't install until this weekend when I get back in town.

I really do think this issue is a non-issue and can be address during the final install.

As I said before, I can place pressure on the area and it flattens to the hood.

In the meantime I'll be by my phone waiting for the painter to call saying it is ready...

Correct this is not really an issue I had a slight gap once I tightened up the two front nuts the gap was gone and the insert flexed with the hood I have my two middle nuts for the insert lose, and the rear two tight.

I'm waiting a few more weeks to install mine . Trying to decide what color . I have a black car, and I'm pairing these with hex vents on the side . I got my hex vents hydro dipped carbon fiber , and I'm debating on whether doing the same with the TL1 insert or goin with AGM like others have it looks amazing, or wrapping both in carbon fiber , either vinyl or real qenuine carbon fiber cloth and a good coating of epoxy. But that would be tough . I don't neccessarilly want AGM insert with carbon fiber hex vents. Opinions would be great
