Hole cut. It was neat to have the hole cut and see my new SLP SC Through the hood! Tough to see it in the pic. But it's there!

Off to paint. Left the hood liner for now (dust). Looks cool with the bow tie showing. Should have it I this week.

Charcoal metallic would look killer I think.

got mine installed, and had to remove the vararam intake. these will not work with the vararam. i did install the insert with the rain pan and left the vararam on the car. if it would rain it would dump directly into the vararam filter plus it whistled like crazy. guess it was the air from the insert going directly into the vararam filter. removed the rain pan from the hood and drove it like that most of the day and it still whistled amd seemed like it lost some power, not sure what was going on. had to put the stock air filter assembly back on tonight. so now i have a vararam intake for sale! dam i liked the looks of that thing. cai or injen i guess to buy now!

so if you have a vararam intake these will not work. i like the insert on the car as it looks good. so i guess it was a trade off.

Thank you for the info, I am sure other will appreciate it.

It does make sense what happened, the insert is extracting air, while the CAI was trying to suck air in.... the two were playing tug of war ! I guess the extractor won ! just shows you the air being pulled out is more than what the engine could take in.

thanks! not sure if im gonna stay with the black, i didnt put the sealer on the hood so i could take it off later. post pics of yours when done. im probally gonna end up painting it the same color as the car leaving the metal grills black and painting the square area where the vents are in aqua blue. the black goes with the car, just not sure i like it solid black.

It would probably look ok black if your hood spears were also black.

Ok I'm sold. Where and how do I order. Having fender vents installed this weekend on my 2k11 V6. Will this product work on my basically stock Camaro? How much?
