Rumor: One is stronger than the other

Asking for anything quantifiable to back up the sales pitch that these are better isn't being a smartypants, it's a valid question that keeps getting ignored. I've only seen you talk town the other company versus stating why these are better. Anytime the question is asked the answer is: because racing. Thats not an answer. They may very well be designed to be stronger but so far there's nothing factual to back it up. If a load rating of one wheel is greater than the other that's factual. If the metallurgy report shows a better material being used that's factual.

Vendor crapping doesn't make the other persons product look bad, it makes you look bad. I would love for some facts to be stated, or stick to stating why your wheels are good versus why someone elses are inferior with nothing to back it up. Just a pet peeve of mine...

I think he was joking about the smarty pants thing. But This was my entire point.

Also you forgot one more fact: The Price

Yup. But when there's someone stating the inferiority of another product then show me load rating data, engineering analysis, ASTM or GM salt spray test results, etc. At least in the suspension vendor bashing there's track times to post. These probably are designed with lateral loading in mind and are therefore stronger. But stick to the positives of this wheel not the bashing of another wheel with nothing to back it up. Especially now that the 2 designs are different.

Heck just seeking copyright protections and the limited production numbers is enough to justify the price difference to me, but thats not the justification that is being made.

I assuming these will have to have new TPMS? Which one to get, ZL1 TPMS's?? This is for a 2010 2SS. Can stock sensors be reused?

You will be able to use any GM, or replacement TPMS just like normal.

They will be powder coated. In the future I will see about other colors on them but this is what the first batch will be so we can reduce an already to long wait time on them.

I would think the powder coat will be better than what GM is using on the original wheel from what I'm hearing about how easily they chip or scratch? Is this true ?

Powdercoat is more resistant to chipping than paint. Paint is easier to repair versus powdercoat, although I've seen touchup paint work on powder with decent results. With that being said its a wheel, its only a matter of time before they get a chip or scratch no matter what they're done in.

Well, I have to say I am very happy after my 1mile cruise to a fiends house. After I got to his house, I set the parking brake and the relearn process started. I had it set on that and hit the button when I got out.

So when I got home, I did the process right. I don't need to go to a dealer or need the tool. My 2010 SS read the sensors and worked

If there are enough people that want them, but the costs involved to do the molds and design work are pretty high to do one or two sets.

I would think this would be one of the most important questions.

Man I love that rim.

That in a 20x9 would be my perfect rim. Push the offsets out farther than the factory 20x9s so it looks more aggressive and it would be awesome for those like me that don't want to pay for new tires as well.

Yes I know I'm dreaming a little, but hey its my dream.
