RX superchiller?

Does anyone have one of these installed. Is it a good product? Are there any problems with it. Does it do what it says it will do?

You'll probably get a quicker response if you post in that thread. The OP in that thread had one installed and gave his opinion of it. Just saying.

I'm very interested in adding this to my list on my next round of mods, any chance of a pm for price?
Thanks,
Mike

I'm sure it would void the AC waranty, but cant imagine any other components as it

You offer a separate compressor to run independently, correct?

We can offer a 12V or 24V electric one to remotely mount for a road race only car...but it is expensive.

I have one installed. It was part of a stage 3. My car makes 704 at the wheels, and pulls strong all day. Never had ANY symptoms of heat soak. Super clean install. Mine has anodized fittings wich is sick looking under the hood. I'm in NC and the AC system in the cabin is just as strong as it always was. Super chiller brings the temps down to ambient. I don't care how big of an upgraded HE you get, it won't do that!

In most cases I have read, it brings IAT well below ambient, as much as 50* below ambient in some cases. Your lucky to get close to ambient IAT's with an upgraded H/X. There is no comparing an upgraded H/X to the S/C in terms of performance. However, I would like to know a little more about how the perform on the road course? Anyone track thier ZL1 with a Super Chiller?

The compressor shuts down at WOT, right, so the chiller wouldn't be working, would it? Maybe that's where a HE would come in. Doing both would be cool

We have only had some short term autcross and amatuer road race feedback and it was good, but as the comp does disengage at WOT I am pretty sure it will not be near as effective as street or dragstrip.

The nice thing is the cooled coolant in the system does last 20-30 seconds before loosing the stored chill. A HE is bypassed when the chiller is active so for it to switch to the HE it would be all the already heat soaked coolant in the HE that would need to be chilled before the IC would realize any cooling, and then just ambient temps (usually 10-15* plus higher than ambient is the best a HE does).

Yes, but I dont think any road course racer is WOT enough to keep the Super Chiller from doing its job, probably wouldnt hurt to get a bigger resevoir as well. Seems there is enough time not at WOT that it would keep it cooled, especially when running in comp mode. My concerns would be the AC compressor holding up with the Super Chiller as it is contantly spinning at higher RPMs when road racing, seems like this might create an integrity problem in terms of the compressor's lifespan?

Yeah, It would be nice to know. When they installed mine the guages were on back order because they switched vendors. I think the new one is backlit. Matter of fact I'm calling my tuner right now to see if its in! It would be nice to monitor the temps!

My ZL1 will be hitting the road course at VIR in Nov and I will have an upgraded HX by then. It is taking cooler logic forever to get it to me. They said there was a shortage of cores due to the high demand. It is supposed to be here next week.

Probably wont need any help in the cooling department in Nov at VIR, should be pretty cool already.
