GM accessories...

Should i have ordered accessories like the body painted Engine cover when i ordered the car?

If I decide I want one after i take delivery, can I order one at my dealer?

I really dont know if I want the engine cover or not right now. I'm going to get the Cargo mat as well, but i think that would probably be readily available.

i wouldnt buy the cover from the factory. This is why. Its just a normal engine cover thats on any chevy engine. Just a peice of plastic that probably cost 15-20 bucks to make. Every camaro has it regardless, if its painted, its just painted your car color on the sides. So for 470 bucks your paying for peice of painted plastic. Your better off just getting the car and either having it painted down the road or doing it your self. Not to mention the cover is being held up right now, so the cover will come late or hold up your car. There are other accessories that are out there like the body kit and a wing thats coming out soon. They are nice, and you get the GM warranty with them. But at the same time, 6 months from now there is going to be aftermarket heaven for this stuff, which mean more choices and cheaper

my dad a dealer talked with a guy who is in the aftermarket manufacturing and he said there is some sweet stuff planned to come out this fall. I think best thing to do is wait not go over board yet.

You can order accessories later. You can only order options once.

Nards, easy with the misinformation there. The engine cover is $269.00 from CamaroScotty's dealership, Newman Chevrolet. http://www.gm.oeaccessories.com/newman/

good call the factory option is 285. But when it was listed over a month ago they wanted 400 for it. To me its still overpriced but its cheaper here I guess.
