Safe Offset mm distance for aftermarket rims?

Looking to get some ideas for a good grown size for a safe offset distance for a Camaro ZL1, im going with the Niche Milan Rims the same Size as stock black ZL1 rims... Now im looking for nice sexy deep concave look, the ones i see are 40mm, that seems very large.. so too safely ask and get few opinions is 35mm a safe clearance for Camaro ZL1 too clear Brembos, and not have any issues with steering touching of any surfaces or any issues with the chassy / alignment and such?

Comments, Opinions all needed and welcomed.. Thanks . And as far as the concave look i want it to face inwards at the center, but not make my tire / rim stick out from side of my car like a ton of these ricers do with theirs sticking out and slanted looks almost like broken axles.

Thanks in advance.

I think the stock ZL-1 wheels, whether the black or the five-spoke polished, are just about perfect, don't know how you could improve on them. Don't know what the specs are, but why mess with perfection? Here's a pic (a bad one at that) of my new Forgeline CF3c-SL's. Same widths as the ZL-1 stockers, and I THINK the offsets are the same, or close to it. I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports 295's up front and 315's in back. I will tell you though, I previously had Ridetech coilovers and the front tires would not clear the Ridetech shock body without a 1/4" spacer, which caused the tire to hit the fenders. So I switched to 1LE shocks and struts and BRM 1" lowering springs. No spacer required now, and the front fender fit is very close. No hitting fenders now--but I have rolled the lip to get additional clearance. YMMV

Whats the Stock ZL1 offset? Like i said i want to get the Niche Milan Rims and wonder what MM would be good look for it with a clean concave / and or tires that wont give me any clearance / rubbing / damaging of any parts issues.

For the rear wheels at least. I'm sure I read it somewhere but I can't find a reference to back it up. Perhaps someone who is 100% sure can post

It's surprising that the information you seek is not more readily available

I don't see a 20x11 listed. What widths were you planning on going?
