Cool ZL1 video

Not sure if this has been posted before, but it appears that it is a German magazine test. It is a burnout, then a maniacal track run, and then a top speed run in the ZL1. Enjoy!

The track is Hockenheim near Frankfurt, GE. 300 kmh is only about 180 mph (6 X 300 and drop the last digit). The track run is a testament to how good the ZL1 handles...if it hadn't been that good, the driver would be dead! The way he "hacked" the steering wheel around corners and spent lots of time off track, just wasn't the fastest way around the track. But, this awesome Camaro got him through it in style.

This guy is nuts, and on top of it doesn't even wear a helmet. I hope this video doesn't lead to over confidence for new or young zl1 owners. No matter how sophisticated these cars are, high output cars like these are not to be taken lightly. They can be down right deadly.

Holy shit I feel like even with the magna ride suspension that looked friggen RUFF. I think he hit about every bump you could possibly hit. So I suppose thats a plus nothing fell apart in that anal raping of that poor ZL1. Thats a true testament right there you can ride em hard and put em up wet, and they will be dry the next day to do it all over again

EXACTLY what I was thinking!! I'd love to see how much smoother the ZL1 would run if the driver knew what he was doing.

That was an awesome track run, I think people are confusing the green painted asphalt for grass. Saw 1 time he may have done some mowing, otherwise he used those curbs like a pro to hustle that thing around.

The helmet or lack there of, made me think he was on the track without permission. ??? Most tracks, if not all, require the use of a helmet. If you close your eyes and listen to the sound of the engine - great video!
