315's

Has anyone fitted 315's on the rear of the ZL1, wondering if they fit ok with out rubbing anything, also any reccomendations for which tire would work best. I need something to get by for a few months in Arizona when the temp drops below 40.

Goodyear makes 315's but not the Eagle F1 Supercar. They make the GS-D3, which is a good tire but not sure if good for the ZL1. The only one that comes close in comparison in the Michelin cup tire. both tire pricey though...made for high end cars like the ZR1, Z06, Viper, etc.

I would get the michelin super sports or NT05 if you want to switch away from the runflat goodyears. the supersports are testing better than the PS2's. NT05 are a good option if your looking to save money. they have great strait line grip if the temps are not too low, less road noise, but I am not sure they have much more in the cornering departemnt.

I would not personally run invo's on this car unless strait line is your only concern. they have sidewall flex at the limits this car will produce.

I have had both invo's and NT05's so this is not something I read but somehting I expenrienced. the invo's hook good though.

I have not run any of these higher cornering grip tires that did not suffer issue at low temp. I have not had a proablem driving in low tems I just know not to push the car on those days.

Today I put on the Conti Extreme Contact DWS as my "Winter" tires.
I definitely will not drive my car in snow and salt, but at least I wanted to have some tires which I can drive with on some nice cold sunny winter days.

Below a picture of the 315's in the rear. They clear with no issue.

Which wheels did you mount them on and what size did you put on the front?

Here you go. I most actually say I am surprised about the grip of those tires.
I did some "sporty" driving today where I hardly felt a difference to the stock tires. There are nothing for the track though.

Personally I think that for daily driving these tires are more than sufficient.

For the the track ( road course ) I am leaning more to a separate set of wheels and tires. Especially after I discovered today several paint chips on my wheels, which I guess comes from the brakes and track driving.
