Thanks for posting. Still looking foward to the Boss LS comparisons. The most interesting part of the article is that they were able to get a 4.3 second 0-60 and a 12.7 quarter mile. Looks like the 1LE is a little bit faster than GM is letting on.

Great read & thanks for posting! I'm glad to see the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times were a little quicker than previously noted. Just making me more exciting for when mine gets here

I knew the 1LE would be a notch quicker than the SS.

Now, I'm even more excited!!

I also like that they tested a 1SS/1LE w/o all the bells and whistles other than the NPP exhaust.

Wish it was a Vic Red 1LE though. :(

My '13 ran a time of 12.87 at 113mph Stock. I bet this car will be quicker than even the numbers MT got.

No engine change...needs a ls7 and then we would have a winner

Because its a track pack, not a stand alone model.

From a friend: "Looks like it makes the pcv draw from a higher location to prevent oil from going into the intake." This is his take on that pic.

That's the fresh air in side of the PCV, wouldn't be catching much there.

I say catch can because of this photo back when Autoblog had a 1LE and took this pic:

Looks like they just tidied it up as the yellow 1LE shows all the tubing without the engine cover. Not sure if the engine cover can hide all the tubing, but what is the black tubing next to the engine cover?

never mind, the tubing goes from the filler/catch can? to the air silencer. Could see it better when I zoomed in.

It would still benefit from a catch can between the valley and intake. That is where the majority of the oil ingestion occurs.

Running the fresh air side through the oil filler... looks like they are just providing a place for oil to fall back into the valve cover. Maybe there are some high G, high rev situation where that right valve cover fresh air PCV pipe is getting flooded with oil. Instead of pushing it up to the intake, it can fall back into the oil filler.

High speed left hand sweepers?

Nice! Did anyone else notice that the 0-60 and quarter mile times are a bit quicker than the standard SS and different from what it says in the sales brochure???

I had suspected this with the different gear ratios and slightly shorter tires.

Glad they liked it after a whole week of driving it on the roads as well as a track.

I'm happy to see 12s out of the 1le, we'll have to see what real owners run with them once delivered

Yes, i know this. But i was just wondering if GM might have adjusted the tuning parameters. It seems to me that the SS pulls more timing than other cars when IAT temps rise which hurts track perforamce. That is why i am curious if the 1LE differs or not?

Every time i read a new review i get more excited about this car. I cannot wait for those of you that have placed orders to start posting reviews.
