I'm pretty sure that I read in http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252186 that there were 1900 2012's made.

1885 was the number of regular production. The number is over 1900 when you include test fleet and show cars

This car should bring a great return in the next 10 years if they keep production this low. I wonder how many will be produced in 2013?

they are up to 3,000 units already but thats coupe and convert as of now. We will have to wait and see probably 3500 to 4000 coupes is my guess and converts around 2500... We will see. This is my educated guess

In general, will the ZL1 be a limited production car or is it a going to be a regular production car in the coming years?

1885 2012's as per Becky, Scott said there may be more when they re-number CTF cars.

I don't think the ZL1 is considered a limited production car. For example, there are only 69 COPO Camaro's produced in 2012-13. They are not built on a regular production line. The COPO is a limited production car.

However, the ZL1 is produced on the same assembly line as every other Camaro model and the numbers are only limited by factors such as CAFE Standards, parts constraints and production delays. The ZL1 is a regular production car. I'm confident there will be over 4000 ZL1 Coupes and Convertables produced in 2013.

The ZL1 is going to be chasing the GT500 right? The GT500 isnt limited production to my knowledge.

This year, IIRC, they were limiting it to 5000 or something.

It's limited in the fact that your dealer can't order 50 of them, but not limited like the COPO or the original ZL1 was (69 produced total - it's not a planned production run of X units).

I get what you're saying but if they make a 2014 and 2015 model and produce 4-5000 each year then I wouldnt consider this car vary rare or limited. I dont consider the gt500s that rare but I consider vipers rare because I think they make about 1000-1200 a year and they keep discontinuing them as well.

When i requested a Vehicle Option Information Sheet for my 2012 ZL1 from the plant in Canada it also included info on the total number built.
They said that 1954 2012s were built, 1855 for US and 99 for Canada.
When you order this they also tell you how many where done in your color and how many M6s and Autos. They dont brake it down any more than that.
There were 79 in GBE (CRT) and 1290 MN6s. 664 Autos.
To get the info on how many were done in your color call 1-888-467-6853 or 905-440-7697 or Fax 905-440-7644 Monday- Friday 8 til 5 EST. Ask for a Vehicle Option Information Sheet (build sheet) and they will fax you the form. There is a small fee for this. This is a great piece of info to have on your car and the people couldn't have been any nicer about helping get this info for you.
