I really do not understand your comment. Are you saying a person that is injured on active duty no matter the reason and they are discharged and have been evaluted for disability do not have the right to say they are a disabled vet unless they were in combat. I retired prior any of the current conflicts and was injured while on active duty. The military determined that I am disabled. I have the utmost respect for combat veterans disabled and non disabled. All military members that have an Honorable Discharge and are disabled should get the same respect regardless of the disability.

No, you said it was a slap in the face to all the other disabled vets that may or may not have been in combat. If it bothers you ask the moderators to delete the offenders posts.

Haha I don't hunt eskimos its my gamertag on xbox live. I work part time and that all goes to my insurance and gas. My parents made a deal to buy my brother and I whichever car we wanted as long as we kept a 3.8 GPA and got into a 4 year school (at the time he wanted the 350z so he got that one) I waited forever and we were about to buy the ss when we heard of the ZL1. I told them I would wait longer and they said ok. So thats how it happened they paid for the car but I pay for insurance (3/4 of it) and gas. No money for mods though haha

please don't let this turn into a "how does a 19/20/21/22/23/ etc. year old afford a ZL1?" His parents got him the car who else? Eskimo, as another young guy who has been blessed with amazing parents, some people on these forums tend to get really.. umm.. unsettled when a "kid" below 25 is driving one of these cars. Just a word of advice. At the end of the day, the same people would definitely take the ZL1 if their parents offered to buy it and make the payments for it. Be safe though!

It does not offend me at all. I just think it takes a lot of gumption to write "disabled vet" when you guys are driving a ZL1 and living a pretty normal life. Meanwhile we have 18-19-20+ year old guys that are coming back truly messed up and will need years of therapy. Go down to Walter Reed, when you come out, I don't think you will use that "disabled vet" title as freely. I am 25 and own a paint contracting business. Sold my Camaro to start it up. Before you bash me that I am not a vet, my brother was is 1st Battalion 6th Marines. Did two combat tours in The Ghan. Operation Moshtarak (DM and was a pointman for the full 7 months he was there) and Operation Eastern Storm.

Its funny when the older guys get upset because they weren't as smart as some of the younger guys (like me) at my age (21). So now they ask how you afford the car and such and such, when all it is is having the right intelligence and ambition to make it big and accomplish your goals. I'm sorry you took 20 or 30 years to do it instead of 2-3

Hey guys, not sure how this thread got hijacked into personal bashings. But we really must remember we are talking about a ZL1, which by the way I love mine, but it's not a $350,000 Ferrari. I have a fleet of work trucks, everyone of them exceed the price of the ZL1. This is just a car, a piece of metal. The thread was about people's professions and their ages and had nothing to do with their success. We all agree that the ZL1 is a badass car. Lets all try to leave the personal bashings out of it. And I consider anyone that got hurt in any war as a disabled veteran and have all the ultimate respect for them! If you came out, worst than you went in, in my book you are disabled. I think the thread was more about the diversity of ZL1 owners and not their own personal success. My .02
