Somebody Keyed My Car

Came home from a concert last night to see this on the passenger side door.... Then I realized it trails the entire back of the car as well. I have nothing left to say....I'm disgusted by this...

My car got keyed over the back 2 panels, just got my quote to fix...$2,500. (Cndn). Will run through insurance, deductible is only $250.

The worst part is I had to pay $20 to even park in the lot. Do you think I should raise some kind of issue with the attendants?

Unless they have cameras, I would assume its a park at your own risk lot. I called the police when I found mine, happened at a movie theater. Nothing can be done unless you know or see who did it.

I cried when it happened to me, it's so just mean.

Sh*tbags just don't have any respect. Such a costly fix from a key job. Maybe someone will do that to their face.

You would probably find they have a disclaimer releasing them of responsibility for damage.

i would try to find out if they have cameras in that parking lot.

if they don't, there's nothing you can really do. Some people just want to watch the world burn.:(

We caught the kid that did our cars. He was 15 and bored and had nothing else better to do. He ended up getting charged with a 3rd degree felony and got one year probation and house arrest, court cost and restitution for damages.

Shame on him ...

Oh my God... I'm so sorry, man. That hurts me just looking at it. If it's an help to you, my brother had his Honda keyed pretty bad a few years ago and he made an insurance claim for it, paid the deductible, and now you can't even tell it ever happened. And about a year after that, the same car got SHOT AT in his apartment complex! The bullet entered through the rear fender and exited out through the trunk by the tail light. Made an insurance claim on that, too, and the repair on that was flawless as well. So yea... My point is, you'll be able to get her back to as good as new in no time. I just hate that it happened to you. :(

That sucks so bad. I am sorry to hear that. Now you have to look at the up side. Now you get a new paint job and it will be under comp so your rates wont go up.

Thanks for the support everyone. Ive literally done nothing today, i feel so out of it after seeing this. Im usually extra paranoid about where i park and who im parked next to, but in this case i dont know what else could have been done. I do have a receipt but it specifically says they are not responsible for any damages done. I would drive over there but i feel like even if they did have someone on camera it would not necessarily do me good. Im going to bring it in for an estimation tomorrow and hopefully have it fixed as soon as possible, just the thought of the scratches sicken me. I have pretty much never needed to go through insurance for anything since ive only gotten into one accident since i began driving eight years ago, so i might go through insurance to fix this. I would have to guess it would cost over a grand since it is literally the entire back including through the stripe and down the passenger door.
