Hah! I forgot abut Daytona! I'll have to see how far from jax/mayport that is so i can tell if I can make a weekend out of it or if I have to take vacation.
As far as timeframe, I'm due to transfer around April...but, I'm going to a ship, so anything I want to do (like Fest) is dependent on if I'm in port. It's one aspect of the navy that really sucks when you try to have a life.

Your only about 1 - 1 1/2 hours from Daytona in Jacksonville. It is a great ride down A1A right along the coast from Jax Beach to Daytona. It takes a bit longer to go that way (closer to 2 hours), but my wife and I do that a few times a year when travel permits.

So, just for shits and grins, I did the fuel table fuse pull last night, replaced them this morning. Was going to hold off on taking the camaro out until after I got my torque wrenches in tonight and re-torqued my headers, but took it out to a friend's place after work anyway. On the way home, I decided to open it up to WOT on the H-1 on-ramp, and holy shit! I didn't think I was missing any performance, but 1st gear never felt like that before!

So, sweet surprise tonight

Awesome. I'm sure nothing but premium has been in mine but I'm still gonna try it once its broken in.

1LE TPW 11/12 Group

I've never put anything but premium in it, even at delivery. So, the only guess I have is that it had regular put in at some point during shipping. I imagine it was transferred quite a few times on the way to Hawaii, and delivered with 23 miles and a half tank of gas.

Edit: mystery solved...that was it. I just remembered they don't ship the cars on the boats with over 1/4 tank, so somebody must have put regular in there on arrival to get it to the dealer. Damn.

That 1/4 tank rule is suprising because a full tank is more safe and less prone to fire. I guess they are more worried about spills.

yeah, i never did get told why, but they're pretty adamant about it. i had to pay someone $25 to take $25 worth of gas out of the cavalier when it was time to ship it to hawaii...that aggravated me.

Got the jigsaw out last night since rainy season is coming. Not that I can get up my driveway if it's wet, but maybe once I'm in Florida...
Anyway, I think I did pretty good. My lines aren't as perfectly straight as I want, but good enough for something that's only part-time use. Might try to drill and paint tonight after work

they do, but they're a little inconvenient to put on/pull off. if i do this right, these should go much quicker and be more weatherproof.
also, they sent me the regular pans, not the strut bar pans. i emailed them and never heard back...once i saw the design for these, i'd rather go this route anyway.

It was pretty straight forward like you said.I used an air mattress to get the hood off, since i didn't have a second pair of hands.I wasn't going to attempt this putting it back on though.Luckily my neighbor was cutting the grass,i made him wash his hands before touching my hood

I avoided disaster tonight when I came across a large cooler in the middle of I-26. Swerved to miss the cooler and hit the lid with my front end in the next lane over. I checked thoroughly and didn't see any scratches or damage. It sure pissed me off when I hit it though.

I spoke too soon. I am missing the black panel for the tow hook cover on my front fascia and there is a small scratch on the black plastic part of the lower grill.

Phuk... well after I dinged mine I stopped worrying 'so' much about it.

Wait, the 14's have a tow hook?

Damn. That coulda been way worse I suppose.

In 1991 I was driving across the USA in my 1984 z28. It was 11:30pm outside of Council Bluffs, Iowa. I saw a "newspaper" on the freeway spinning around and tried to straddle it. Boom! A huge rooster tail of sparks flew out the back of my car. Front tire went flat. I ran over a cattle grate (think beefy rebar grate) the flew from the back of a rig. It blew my radiator hose, punctured my frame, bent a tie rod arm, and flattened a tire. The rooster tail of sparks was quite impressive and lit up the road.

They have a removable panel so you can install one if you want without altering the front fascia. I'll try to get a pic later on today.
