PTM STATUS

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT MODE YOU ARE IN? ON START UP IS IT IN MODE 1 AND IS THERE A READ OUT THAT SHOWS WHAT MODE HAS BEEN SELECTED? UNDERSTAND THAT THE BUTTON HAS TO BE PRESSED X TIMES TO CHANGE MODE SELECTION BUT WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PTM SELECTION WHEN YOU SHUT OFF/START UP?

Touring or Sport suspension settings will remain as is when you shut off/start up the car. The PTM reverts back to Mode 1 when you turn the car off.

BTW! The owners manual is your friend..........have fun driving it!

I don't have a coupe (Mines a Vert and we don't have PTM), but I thought the default PTM was 2.

PTM 2 seems to be the consensus.

BTW! The owners manual is very informative!

The ZL1 Vert does not have PTM, all it has is a single 'competition' mode, although I haven't tried to use it and haven't even looked to see what it takes to select it.

Directly from a GM engineer at one of the local events that had the Vert on display.

From page 14 of the 2013 Camaro brochure:

Performance Traction Management (PTM), on ZL1 Coupe, is an advanced system that integrates the Magnetic Ride Control, Launch Control with manual transmission, Traction Control and Active Handling systems to work in harmony for racetrack performance and consistency.

Magnetic Ride Control Driving Calibrations
ZL1 offers selectable calibrations: TOUR mode for normal city and highway drving, SPORT mode for road conditions that demand more control, and ZL1 Coupe takes it a step further with TRACK mode for the most challenging handling conditions, such as a road course.
