MY LINK INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM

Just finished thumbing through the small owners book for the My Link. Don't see anything/anyway to upload my own screen page. The face of this system when off....is UGLY beyond words. Way too bright and the huge My Link and Bowtie is hidious to say the least. Is there a way to upload my own picture. Now I just leave it on XM with one of the my link music back ground pictures. I would love it if I could have my own screen/home page picture. Any good suggestions. As soon as you turn on the car this oversized, way too bright screen lights up and takes away from the ambience/mean machine look and feel of the ****pit. I'd much have my own picture.

For example, this picture I would much prefer to see when I turn on the key and anytime the My Link is off.

i don't know of any way to re-set the MyLink off screen saver, but I know you can look at pictures from a plugged in USB. I always have the radio on when I'm driving, but I'm planning on having a usb drive plugged in for the next car show I go to so I can just have a cool pic in the MyLink screen.

I also wish there was a way to re-set the MyLink "screen saver", or to just turn it off. It doesn't bother me that much, but it's not the prettiest sight in the world.

Hope Brandon from customer checks out this thread. Maybe he knows a way to change out the screen permanently with my own picture. Must be a way to get into the programming. Yeah, otherwise I'll have to use the USB port as well. Good tip for now, I'll try it out, thanks.

I have found no way of changing the backgroung image. This is the only real fail so far for me on this product. It would have been so easy for them to do this.

It's not surprising that you would want a picture of your car on there since every post you make here has a different, giant picture of it.

May be a need for an exorcism, I just might be possessed! Or it could just be that rumbling sound and popping backfires, and oh yeah, the way she throws me back and pins me in the seat. God I love when she flexes her muscles. The sound, the smell of her engine heating up.... Yeah, it's probably love....hmmm

Yeah i'm hoping a software update will allow this function....seems like it would be so easy for them to do and I'm surprised it's not possible

Still haven't figured out how to upload pictures. When I plug in my iPhone and then on the My Link go to the "pictures" icon. It tells me I have to plug in a USB device. But that's already done with my iPhone. For some reason it's not connecting to the photos. Not sure if its something in my phone that I have shut off or what the deal is. If anyone has uploaded pictures, please let me know what I'm doing wrong. I've read the instructions on page 33 of the 2013 Camaro infotainment system booklet in the glovebox. According to the instructions I should be good to go. Nothing, same message.

I have the same problem with my i-phone and also tried a USB stick and still will not show pictures. Whats the deal? Please provide all of us with an update so that all of us can use our own car pictures as the background to the screen!
