Heated Seats?

I was just wondering why GM made the heated seats standard on the ZL1 when they recommend that you don't drive on the F1's when the temperature is below 40 degrees.

Those tires really need to be hot before they grip. GM should warn about driving on cold tires when the temperature is below 50.

I live in Florida and use the heat on the seats all the time. It feels great on old bones, and if I get to warm I just turn up the A/C ...

Because you can change tires if it gets colder than 40?

I would rather they where cooled seats. Better for track days and "spirited driving" on hot days.

I got the winter tires on last week. Don't get me wrong, I am glad it has the heated seats. I will be driving it this winter. It just seems odd that on a performance car that already weighs way too much that the heated seats come standard. I haven't seen anything official from GM on recommended winter tires.

I hate to even think of my car out in the winter. Don't know what is scarrier the salt or ice. Good luck avoiding both with yours Xlkahuna.
