Baylor hits the track

He ran a 13.2 at the track tonight before it rained out. Matt was only to get one run in

Baylors previous runs were 13.7's

Matt should post time slips when he gets a chance

Now that's good news, congrats buddy. Now I'm even more pissed at what Vince said a few days ago about my logs. I guess me running 10.8 AFR's is normal lmao f.u.c.k.ing LLT's and this tuning.

Cant_C_Me: Aren't you coming up our way soon anyways? We'll get it all squared away on the dyno and then we can hit the track!

Yes, drove in to the track , first person in line took a pass. Thankfully before the rain came!

It is pulling timing upstairs and in between the shifts. However guys, this is WHY we datalog at all times going to the track. Nothing is ever a perfect world, I have reported to Vince our findings and I'm sure we'll see another tune file tomorrow during normal hours.

And yes the dyno will be implanted this weekend, so we can do dyno testing AND we can run 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile times on the dyno. Of course nothing like real world, but it's great we can get a 1-2-3 pull out of it.

4psi upstairs, need to pull some fuel out. We're just trying to stay on the right borderline of the HPFP failing on these. We may bump the boost one more time, but I'm pretty happy with the overall results. The 60' was shit, should be a mid-high 1.7x. That 60' loss is about .15 on the top end. Plus when we get the timing situated we should see more of a 25-27mph bump on the top end, not 20.

Disclaimer: Watch out mr. V6Owner, we're coming for you and by far I am not a JOCKEY (270lbs!).

Are you going to hit the track again once all the changes have been made?

I'll down soon Matt so we can sort the tune out. Was just waiting on the dyno to arrive. And the day has come, wouldn't mind some dyno and track 1/4 mile times.

Ah that was not trying. And not necessarily good. I'm nothing compared to most, but usually consistent .01x's and .00x's on a .400 pro tree. This sportsman crap gets me all screwed up. I think last week in testing I cut a .007 and a .019 on this car, leaves pretty well for a V6

We're going to bring Cant_C_Me and Baylor back to the track! We wanted to see the 13.0x runs tonight, but the rains came early what can you do. This Saturday is Nostalgia stuff and I do not think that I can run, sucks. Past that there are no 1/4 miles nearby, so we're going to have Baylor be the test dummy on the dyno for 1/4 mile runs

Yes, they are on loan from my car! The fronts actually hurt me, I dropped about 400RPM on the footbrake. Back to the heavy tires up front.

What Baylor you did not like my smiley ducking for cover? It's better than he was doing last week -->

Maybe you should just hire Matt as your driver for the track

You may be right, but I'd have to see the slips to determine that.

Baylors car ran a 1.8x 60 foot which is not too shabby and finished at 101 MPH.

If the IPF car ran a 2+ 60 foot and had a mph of say 105 plus that would be a big difference.

I'm not knocking the run shown here, just saying the possibilities. Do you happen to know the IPF car's numbers?

I agree, my top end isnt great. Its pulling timing which is leading to bad trap speed. If I was trapping at the 107-109 that V6owner is doing I should be seeing 12.9 easy.

Using my Android Torque app my timing seems to run up to around 30 at around 5,000 to 5,4000 rpm but past that it drops to low 20s.

Not sure if this is normal, but I'm thinking its not far off. I watched one of my old Torque vids from last year before I had the ice-olator and the ported IM and it did the same thing.

Otherwise, if it is really not supposed to be dropping off, then I guess I could be losing power at the top end also.

Unfortunately I did not see what the 60' was on the other car. He does run street tires so I'm imagining around a 1.9x-2.0x. The 1.86 I cut on this slip was ok at best, but of course a tenth in the sixty foot is good for a tenth and a half upstairs.

Baylor's car is only seeing 20mph on the big end (1/8 mile to 1/4 mile difference), I'd like to see that in the mid 20's. Baylor is running 4psi right now upstairs, 12.5* total timing, 10.8:1 A/F. During the shifts it was dipping to -4.5* because of TM and 1st-2nd was 18-20*. If timing holds during the shift, and we can kill this upstairs KR we'll be doing OK.

It is hard to give a comparison, it is the LLT vs the LFX. The LLT has fuel starvation and HFPF pump issues. The LFX can run a lot more boost with their fuel situation. Aluminum heat-soaked manifold vs. composite manifold. I'll let you know my opinion after I go out to Houston this week to tune KMAGRIZZ's RX supercharged LFX, we're going to look for a consistent 7psi out of that one.

Not taking anything away, but we are far from apples to apples on this comparison. I give props to the IPF LFX car running 13.1x / 13.0x, as I'd give props to anyone running that quick in a V6, plus he was a super nice guy
