Look at post #55 in this thread, read the end part. Things seem to be getting neck and neck now.

Maybe you should just hire Matt as your driver for the track

Sounds good! Both cars are done and ready for tuning! Track is open Friday night!

You may be right, but I'd have to see the slips to determine that.

Baylors car ran a 1.8x 60 foot which is not too shabby and finished at 101 MPH.

If the IPF car ran a 2+ 60 foot and had a mph of say 105 plus that would be a big difference.

I'm not knocking the run shown here, just saying the possibilities. Do you happen to know the IPF car's numbers?

I agree, my top end isnt great. Its pulling timing which is leading to bad trap speed. If I was trapping at the 107-109 that V6owner is doing I should be seeing 12.9 easy.

Using my Android Torque app my timing seems to run up to around 30 at around 5,000 to 5,4000 rpm but past that it drops to low 20s.

Not sure if this is normal, but I'm thinking its not far off. I watched one of my old Torque vids from last year before I had the ice-olator and the ported IM and it did the same thing.

Otherwise, if it is really not supposed to be dropping off, then I guess I could be losing power at the top end also.

Unfortunately I did not see what the 60' was on the other car. He does run street tires so I'm imagining around a 1.9x-2.0x. The 1.86 I cut on this slip was ok at best, but of course a tenth in the sixty foot is good for a tenth and a half upstairs.

Baylor's car is only seeing 20mph on the big end (1/8 mile to 1/4 mile difference), I'd like to see that in the mid 20's. Baylor is running 4psi right now upstairs, 12.5* total timing, 10.8:1 A/F. During the shifts it was dipping to -4.5* because of TM and 1st-2nd was 18-20*. If timing holds during the shift, and we can kill this upstairs KR we'll be doing OK.

It is hard to give a comparison, it is the LLT vs the LFX. The LLT has fuel starvation and HFPF pump issues. The LFX can run a lot more boost with their fuel situation. Aluminum heat-soaked manifold vs. composite manifold. I'll let you know my opinion after I go out to Houston this week to tune KMAGRIZZ's RX supercharged LFX, we're going to look for a consistent 7psi out of that one.

Not taking anything away, but we are far from apples to apples on this comparison. I give props to the IPF LFX car running 13.1x / 13.0x, as I'd give props to anyone running that quick in a V6, plus he was a super nice guy

Oh and this arrived today... Just having the electric wired on Monday and we're good to go!

Technically Baylor, you're car is sitting on the dyno for storage purposes so you ARE the first one on the dyno

A couple weeks ago I was there with my buddy who has a former rx car and Manny was running his white IPF LS with steel wheels and an auto and of the few I watched he ran a 13.06 @ 108 with a 2.05 60'. Also ran a 13.20 @ 106 with 2.1 60' he didn't run under a 2 second 60' the whole night and was trapping between 105-109.

Ah... Yes that is the gentleman with the LFX car. Real nice guy.

From what it seems the car is quite consistent
