FogLights??? What for?

Folks I have been wandering about those weak sad looking yellowish fog lamps on our ZL1s; it got me thinking what are those for .. i mean what is the point when your HIDs are drowning them out and even if you turn them on they dont do much for improving ground visibility in front of you when the ground is wet and dark in the rain at night? So on that thought .. anyone out there know who and where I can order a good plug n play fog lamp HID kit for our ZL1? I've already tried ORACLE LED for the fogs and they sucked (they were pretty useless; worst than the OEM halogen for improved ground visibility); but for the DRL they looked great.

White fog lights do not work! I replaced my stock "yellow" lights with PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow H11 55W. These are a true amber/yellow bulb (color temp. 2,500K) If the fog lights are aimed properly you will find these bulbs will help with visibility. Mine were aimed high from the factory.

Fog lights, which only light the ground immediately in front of your car, are mainly for very foggy conditions when you are traveling slowly due to limited visibility. They can also sometimes be used on dark windy roads in the middle of the night. On a sunny day, you will likely not even notice your fog lights, and there is really no purpose in using them during these times...
