Part number 12639254

What is part number 12639254 for? I know it's an insulator but will painting affect it?

Its number five on the diagram below. Shouldnt hurt to paint it.

Agreed. I dont see any negative things on painting it. It might be difficult since its a pretty wired texture/material

hm ok. yea i was just wondering cause it looked ugly next to a painted engine cover. i'll go ahead and try painting it

Manifold cover

Mkayla,
Re: Rear manifold cover. I think it cuts down on noise and keeps the engine cover from rattling. Chipmunks ate mine, I think they were taking it to the woods to build a nest for the winter.

I took mine off. Now I'll polish the aluminium part soon. Buffing with an aluminium cleaner did it for RickRay.
