Porkrind,

No problem, we understand that there may be some questions regarding the differences between the OEM Sidemarker and LED Sidemarker versions of the All-In-One Harness.

.... For others who may have the same question:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The OEM sidemarker version of the AIO Harness includes a pair of Dual Intensity LED bulbs that are installed into the OEM front sidemarkers, replacing the factory bulbs.

When operated in normal intensity mode at night (as running lights), these dual-intensity LEDs match the intensity of the OEM rear bulbs quite well. This is because the OEM sidemarker version of the AIO Harness drives the LED sidemarker bulbs with 9VDC for normal intensity mode.

When signaling a turn, the OEM sidemarker version of the harness drives the LED sidemarker bulbs with 12VDC for high intensity mode. In high intensity mode, these LED bulbs are brighter than the factory rears, but that is OK because they are being used to signal a turn.

Front Side Marker Operating modes for the OEM sidemarker version:

1. Normal intensity = 9VDC = nighttime Running lights
2. High intensity = 12VDC = Turn Signal mode.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The LED sidemarker version of the AIO Harness does not ship with dual intensity LED bulbs, as it is designed instead for customers who have aftermarket LED sidemarkers.
In this case, we cannot operate the front side markers in dual intensity mode. Instead, we must always use 12VDC to power the front LED markers, or else they won't match the intensity of the LED rear sidemarkers. This is why we have to blink the front side markers OFF at night to signal a turn.

Front Side Marker Operating modes for the LED sidemarker version:

1. Normal intensity = 12VDC = nighttime Running lights
2. Normal intensity = 12VDC = Turn signal blink (daytime)
3. OFF = Turn signal blink (nighttime)

Regards,

--Keith

Excellent service and communication. I ordered my kit Friday and already have it in hand, before I got my markers and they were ordered a week before the harness kit was. Thanks Keith/Lisa!!!!

Attention ZL1 Owners !!

We now offer ZL1 versions of the All-In-One Harness for use with OEM Sidemarkers, or for use with aftermarket LED Sidemarkers.

We shipped our first one to a Camaro5 member in Las Vegas last week, and it is installed and fully operational.

Best Regards,

--Keith

I wanted my Halo lights on during the day, w/o having to switch from park to off and back to have this happen. I PM'd Keith and asked if his harness would work with a ZL1, to which he replied, no. Before I could read his reply, he sent a second message, saying that he thought he could make one for the ZL1 if I was game to try it. Now I have his All-In-One harness installed, with the high intensity day lights installed, to match the white color of the Halo and Headlights, and all is great.

Thanks Keith,

I have a few questions & I'm sure this will help others as well...I have an LS that I have added aftermarket HID headlights with halos (Eagle Eyes) & AAC LED sidemarkers. I am looking to add some fog lights in the near future too. I really like the idea of being able to set the lights up how I want & having the sidemarkers flasah as turn signals. My question is, will this plug into my harness? I know the fog & halo wiring is probably not there on my car, but can this still be used? I don't mind splicing into the halo & fog light controlling wires before the connectors if that's possible either. I want to be able to run my halos all the time day & night. I want to run my fogs (when I get them) as DRLs & on when the headlights are on. I want the headlights to function normally with the switch in auto mode. Right now I have to do everything manually with the switch since the HID ballasts do not like the "dirty" power they get as DRLS during the day. If I wanted to get this harness, would I be able to use it to do what I wanted?

Hi Cntryman77,

The input signals to the All-In-One Harness from the chassis of a Camaro with the factory RS package are as follows:

1. Left & Right DRL Power + Ground (3 wires total)
2. Left & Right Halo / Front Side Marker Power + Ground (3 wires total)
3. Left & Right Turn Signal Power (2 wires total)

Note that the factory Halos and Front Side Markers are powered by the same circuit.

The DRL + Halo/sidemarker + Ground signals (6 wires) pass through a Delphi 8-pin connector from the Chassis to the Front Fascia.

The Left & Right Turn Signal Power inputs are provided via separate All-In-One Harness wires connected via Scotchlok connectors to the Factory turn signal leads.

The All-In-One Controller uses these signal inputs to provide the following outputs:

1. Left & Right DRL Power & Ground (3 signals)
2. Left & Right Front Side Marker Power & Ground (3 signals)
3. Left & Right Halo Power (2 signals). Note - Ground is already provided directly to the Halos in the 4-pin Factory RS headlight connector.

The DRL and Front Side Marker outputs are delivered via the front fascia 8-pin Delphi connector that the All-In-One Harness Controller plugs into. The Halo outputs are delivered via left and right headlight harness connectors designed to work with the factory RS headlights.

The All-In-One harness has not been designed for plug-n-play operation in non-RS Camaros, as they have a different wiring configuration.

As such, it will not work for non-RS applications (the ZL1 being the exception, as it is a variation of the RS package).

Regards,

--Keith

Several Camaro5 members have PM'd us with questions about the operating modes and configuration options of the All-In-One Harness.

Basically, you can do the following:

1. Halo's ON during the daytime when headlight switch is in AUTO position. Or, if you prefer, Halo's can be configured to be OFF during the daytime.

2. DRLs ON during the daytime when headlight switch is in AUTO position. Or, if you prefer, DRLs can be configured to be OFF during the daytime.

3. DRLs ON at night when the headlight switch is in the ON or AUTO position. Or, if you prefer, DRLs can be configured to be OFF at night. Daytime DRL operation and Night-time DRL operation are seperately configured.

4. You also have the option of using an external switch to control ON/OFF operation of the DRLs. A solid state relay switch is integrated into the All-In-One Harness and the control leads are easily accessible to add an external switch.

5. SideMarkers are turned into dual-mode Running lights / turn signals.

The pictures below illustrate these operating modes.
