SUPER BAD NEWS...Owner of Dealership sold the car I was waiting for to another dealer
So I took over a person "pre-order car" months ago which was a 2SS/RS IBM... Been checking with them weekly since the day I took it over...
So I seen my vin/car popup on the http://camaro.spasticsquirrel.com/ site.....so I called them today to see if they got the invoice and to let them know I would come there now to knock out ALL paperwork.... he said give him a second to check and that he will call me right back.... So im here sitting watching tv waiting for the call back with (GOOD NEWS)..that didnt happen...Got ALLLLLLLLL BAD NEWS!!!... Bad news to make me want to throw this computer screen out the window to let off steam... He told me that THE OWNER of the dealership sold the car I took over to a dealership in Wisconsin for $5000over MSRP...and that the car is in transit there and NOT here to Michigan.... I am MAD right now and, money in hand, and NEEEEED a Camaro...ANYYYYY Camaro!!!! I had two salesmen that help me each time I called or went in, and now BOTH of them are looking for any 2SS thats not Sold at one of their 3 dealerships here in MI.... Can you good guys here tell me what I should do....or how I can make this work in my Fav... They owe me SOMETHING since I was THIS close to gettin the car.... ALSO im willing to TAKE ANY color 2SS AUTO you guys can find me here in Michigan!! Never cared about the color since I was gettin a custom paint job later this year, BUT I did fall in love with IBM...I feel screwed!! Should I stick with this Dealer or should I find something on cars.com or the other sites and jump into one of them??? Can you guys help turn this from SUPER BAD....to....GOOOOOD!!! thanks for reading and the help... |

Go somewhere else...I just sat doen and called around a 250 mile range from my house!! I found a car on the first day! Try it! I know detroit has some cars floating around, but you have to be ready to buy as soon as you find one!

Go to the next one... I had gone to 9 different Pontiac dealers when i was 20, looking for a brand new 04 GTO. You'll find a no BS one sooner or later.

Wait and see what they can do for you and then make the decision. Play it cool until they tell you they CAN'T help and then blow up like a banchee and cause a huge scene.

Find a new dealer. You are now in the category of a very unhappy customer. Statistics say that unhappy customers NEVER buy again from the dealer and will tell an average of 9 other people about their unhappy experience. If it were me, I would set a goal to tell every single person I know and I would leverage the internet to let 9 million people know. This is unethical behavior and should have serious consequences.

Does honor and integrity not mean anything anymore? This makes me so sick to hear many of you getting screwed. Making what should be a wonderful experience a nightmare. The good news is, once you get this car it will go a long way in repairing this terrible experience. I wish you the best of luck.

Happy to report I WAS NOT the dealer in WISCONSIN that bought the car. We don't do that - but I do know someone that does! It would be interesting to get the vin to see where it turned up!

Did you have an agreement in place with the dealership to take over the preorder or was this something you worked out with the original orderer? If you had a deal with the dealership, I would find someone else to work with.

 If you even think about doing further business with them, you are a mindless sheep. Make sure they go on the list, even if they are MSRP they should be on our black-list...and be sure to let them in on that tidbit that the premier site for the Camaro has them as a bad dealer. |

Al Serra in Grand Blanc, MI lists a SS on their website for sale at MSRP or GMS if you qualify. I think it's black, but it might only be a 1SS.
