Found this on youtube about CAI's in general lol. Question is, why didn't they see gains with regular installation?

I got a Volant and I have no problems. It makes a great sound and claims 10ish hp gain

Different vehicle react differently to various modifications, its not one size fits all. Some cars may actually see a decrease in power depending on the parameters of the PCM, others can see really good gains. Also without diving into it, some of the things in that video are questionable to say the least. For the 2010+ Camaro there is some really solid testing that has been done on CAI's in a very controlled environment, I would look at those.
