Finally my car goes on production this week meaning 11/12 Si im checking all the details before I get it..

Ok so here is my new doubt.. how will u Guys take care of the matte black good wrap ?
My previous camaro had the matte black stripes..... And over time they got stains even if I washed it whenever it got dirty.... But the stains remained ... I sold it to the dealership and they got it with the stains .....

So just wondering how u guts cleaning the hood ? Or if u previously had matter black stripped how did u cleaned them....?

Just soap and water for vinyl. If you do polish or wax, make sure none gets on the vinyl otherwise it will cause stains. You can use Adam's VRT to clean them. I also use Plexus on my vinyl to give it a shine.

Only washed it twice so far and simply used a soft sponge to wipe it and dried with a soft towel. RIGHT after you wipe it dry ya kind of freak out bc you see water spots and you cant wipe em off......they are just there.
Shortly after though they dry and you cant tell they were ever there...kinda weird but it still looks perfect after a couple washes so fingers crossed.

Adams VRT is Vinyl,Rubber, and Tire, you can order it from Adams on here (whos a sponsor). You can order Plexus online from most automotive detailing websites.

I assume it's normally painted under the wrap? Has anyone taken theirs off? I'm wondering if the wrap starts to look bad after a couple years if you take it off if there would be any paint damage or fading, etc...

Most vinyl will last 3-5 years. I have not heard of any recommendations past 5 years. Has GM made an announcement regarding this? 3M's vinyl last a max of 5 years before it doesn't start looking so great.

I wonder how extended exposure to heat, either environmental or from the engine, will have on the adhesion properties and whether bubbling will occur.

I have the stripes on my Camaro and for 3 years I haven't had a problem other than waxing them

I used turtle wax ice spray wax on my previous SS matte stripes and it worked perfectly. Good luck
