What i heard is it is the same one as the mighty ZL1 so should be pretty strong,as well- the supercharger and magnetic ride this is a ZL1

Post some comparison pics next to the stockers when they arrive. I'm curious how much difference there is, bearing size, axle size, etc.

Without wheel hop you should be fine until you grenade your pumpkin. Kinda depends on your tire and transmission combo if that'll happen.

1LE half shafts are not the ZL1 half shafts. The wheel hubs however are and have beefed up bearings to handling more load when cornering, not just for HP. Did you order 2 for the rear or 4? Both the ZL1 and 1LE have new hubs on all four wheels, not just the rears.

2 dont need 4, only changing rears .
the axel are diff from the ss , cause our axels wont work , but they are indeed diff then the zl1 too.
i think its got the same size or teeth on the diff side as the ss , but the hub size is the same teeth as the zl1. but they are bigger

so basically the the le1 is a zl1 axel that will fit the ss pumpkin. the zl1 has a beefed up pumpkin aswell..

Would you mind posting up all the parts you needed for this? Thanks. Sounds like the axle nut and cv boots at the very least.

Why didn't you just get the zl1 shafts and hubs? You know what those will hold and they seem to be beefier than the 1LE (the shafts, not the hubs).

Because he'd have to buy the Zl1 rear diff too, which is over a grand. ZL1 half shafts will not work the the SS,1LE diff.

......Oh wait....THERE ARE NONE!!!

Come on Dekan, show us some pictures of these axles and hubs....you're killin' me here!!! Also, what's the part number on those hubs? I've found two different part numbers, and I don't know which is correct.

ill get better pic next go around , and try to find something to measure with , its hard to tell the diff in pics but there is a lil diff tho, they have to be a lil stronger , how much i dont know but ill put them to the test , should be 625rwhp and around 700+ rwtq , if they handle that then we know they r ok lol.

Hmmm, weird, not what I expected! I don't hardly see much difference at all. Certainly not beefed up like the ZL1 axles. Well, they certainly can't be any worse!!! Give 'em hell and let's see how they do!!! Thanks for the pictures man.

the splines are the biggest diff , and from what i can tell with a messuring gauge i got that only messures 2 - 3 inches it shows a 1/8 to 3/16 diff in thickness in the center of the axel the boots are bigger too.

I'm willing to bet you can install the rear "HD" 1LE bearing/hubs with the older SS axles, I don't GM would change the spline count nor spline diameter, the new bearing are most likely just wider.
