2012 a6 LFX Vert VS 06 350z m6

I have a grandson who thinks he'd blow my doors off I kept Quiet until I could get into C5. I have no idea if he can or can't.

300 hp V6 vs. 323hp V6 He probably gets you on the weight advantage

He would beat you. They are slower then you think though, 06 is not the hr motor and is ~285-290 hp under the same SAE hp measurement guidelines as your LFX. He dynos 230ish whp, you dyno 245ish whp. I had LFX auto coupe for a while and it's gearing kills it.

You've got more HP and TQ, but he has a weight advantage and better gearing that would probably give him the win...but I'm betting it would be close.

There is a video of an LLT (2010-2011) coupe Camaro V6 pulling away slightly from a 350Z Vert, but in that case the 350 Vert probably has more weight than normal, and had a 2nd passenger....so that tells you how close it could be.

We are finding out the LFX is very responsive to a tune though, and with a mod or two you'd likely see over 40HP gained.

Only a manual V6 coupe , 1lt/2lt, maybe LS, would have a strong advantage. Your vert is heavy.

BUT his car is manual. He has you covered but not by much. In a race from zero, I think you could win unless he is a good driver. Dead stop is your best bet.

Z's are pretty quick from a stop, it is the VQ35DE rev up with 300 horsepower. The DE has more bottom end grunt then the 07+ HR. Both are much quicker off the line, in my experience, then the LLT(auto at least). Off the line and in mid range grunt the DE is stronger, but on the top end it's a wash and LLT might be a tad quicker. HR is stronger then both everywhere, besides low end off the line torque of the DE.

Agree...I think the Camaros best chance would be from a roll.

Of course we only do this at the track right??

Hrmm...I know Sequoia's aren't slow for a big heavy SUV, but I know their 0 - 60 time is in the upper 6s to 7 seconds or so. Are you sure he knew you was racing at first?? lol
