JRE Tune ??

How much more power could i expect from a JRE mail tune on my '11 2SS/RS? The only mods i have is a Spectre CAI, Flowmaster Axle back, and a Superchips programmer.

If it's an stick shift I wouldn't bother until you get a set of headers. The factory tune is pretty much spot on so you won't gain much.

If it's an auto, GET IT!!!! You won't gain much in terms of HP or Tq but the tranny tune on the auto will increase the performance of the car greatly.

Given the CAI you chose you will need a custom tune to correct the ERRORS in MAF reporting caused by it.

There could be up to 20 RWHP available over the factory tune with that CAI.

Correcting for a Poorly Designed CAI is Critical to performance.

I would suggest you take a good hard look at CAI, Halltech and Rotofab.

Benefits of the tune are
Reduced torque management
Fans on earlier
Skip shift elimination
Optimized Timing and fueling
Recalibration for aftermarket CAI and other mods.

You will have to do a return to stock with your Superchips and sell it before working with an SCT Custom JRE Tune.

Ted.

Jannetty has done a lot of expensive and time consuming research for us. There is a post with all the numbers and discussion. If I remember correctly if you buy the programmer and parts from him the tune is free? He can correct me if I am wrong. Also don't forget the scoop and bottle relocation!

Ted is the man.

Answered a ton of my questions, and got my car running smooth and fast.

I'd recommend him to anyone looking to wake up their LS3/L99

+ a Millionty!

All I really have is a CAI Intake, Ported Throttle body, & Vararam Power wedge.. He was able to make my L99 feel like a completely different car .. In a good way, of course!

Sorry to thread jack but I have a question. I have a 2011 SS A6, I have a CAI w/scoop and washer bottle relocation kit and ARH LT 1 7/8 for mods. By getting a JRE Tune, what am I all getting for the tune? Transmission tune? Removal of AFM? or is the tune just to remove the CEL from the LT headers and to get you the most power possible?

Also what does tuning your octane level do?

You will get everything you listed and then some. You can get it tuned for any octane you want. The tune does much more than just remove the cel. On the A6 the tranny tune is the most critical part. Ted has the best A6 tuning available today.

Check and see who's holding the A6 5th gen fastest 1/4 record....

That'd be Ted and I.

The most comprehensive tuning available, I leave no stones unturned.

ECM and TCM are fully tuned to match your combination Perfectly.

Thanks for considering JRE.
